Lenny's Text to Speech!
Welcome, welcome.
IF there are still some of you that are unfamiliar with Lenny's commentary of his own post, then you need to venture over and check it out. http://zelaron.com/forum/showthread.php?t=45363 In this thread, we get a glimpse at hearing what it sounds like in the 'British' perspective. Now, it dawned on me that, why should we stop with just this? We have access to an Brit! Our very own Brit! Why not use him to our full potential. Which is why I am gauging interest and possibly starting a thread that will have requests sent to Lenny foremost to read out quotes/passages from stories. If you want Lenny to read something specifially, you need to provide the content Ex: A link, a quote, something. Don't say hey go read pg. 121 from a Dawkins book, but in turn actually provide a short paragraph to have narrated. Also, It occured to me that we could have Lenny do impersonations. Even though Quote:
I was thinking along the lines of -Canadian impersonation (doesn't matter the dialect) -Cowboy/Redneck impersonation -New Yorker/Gotti impersonation -Mexican impersonation -Middle Eastern impersonation -Possibly some ebonics. Basically, it's whatever anybody could want. But then again, this is just a gauging interest thread, if nobody gives two shits then we can just move on to the next stupid idea. But this if the best I can think of for now. |
Sounds like a scheme for the peon to enslave the duke, to me.
|
Could be fun..
|
This Mighty Duke is wont to appease the uneducated on occasion. It keeps them happy, you see, and happy peasants are less likely to revolt. But even so, I have large rooms in my castle full of cake, should that terrible time come. And if it does, well, I have enough strong arms on my serving staff for at least three days and three nights of lobbing said confectionary at the commoners.
--- Anyway, currently the only request is from Thanatos, which is to read the post that was directed to GLG. Might take me a while - in Word it's three pages long! |
I have a request for Lenny. This comes from a Dawkins book, so I've heard it in a British accent before, but it would be awesome to hear it from another British accent:

Just one moment whilst I untie my tongue, please.
Now, do you want that done in one take, or can I mix and mash? :p Oh, and quoted so he can't change it: Quote:

I'll have to wait till the morning to listen to it -- girlfriend's sleeping right now.
And that's what? Two mistakes this year, then? |
Haha, yep. I even say in the recording that, "I've found his second mistake of the year". :p
|
Oh my fucking God, that was awesome!
|
You make my username awesome! Why, oh why?! We just don't have the same effect when speaking.
|
Honestly you kinda sound more Australian than British.
|
Nonetheless, this is a fascinating exercise. I think Lenny may need his own podcast.

Let's see... my exams finish on June 6th, I think. From then, I've got three weeks of free life until I start my Summer job at the start of July.
For the first week, I'm planning on doing nothing but Website Building - new site design, and a blog. I've already built the first page of my new blog site, so the majority of that work is done (I just need to do the rest of the pages), and I'm halfway through drawing up a new design for my site. Now what I was going to do, in addition with blog posts (every Saturday or Sunday, hopefully) was record videos of me reading the blog and building up on it... but seeing as how Vista abhors my webcam, I might do podcasts instead. EDIT: I'm also going to see about buying a domain/webspace from a professional host, seeing as how I'm into web design so much. |
I'll have a few things tomorrow Lenny :)

Tomorrow is today, d3v.

And get ready for the bestest Australian accent you've ever heard from an Englishman. |
Say "Wo shi Hanbaobao Xiansheng."
Pronounced "waw shr hahn-bow-bow shee-in-shuung" :D |
