De-Mod Medieval Bob

He hasn't been here for awhile.

Instead, make ME a mod!

Thanatos 2008-02-01 02:34 PM

No stuff.

Last Activity: 08-10-2007 06:54 PM

And he's still a mod?

KagomJack 2008-02-01 02:36 PM

Demod him, then, if he hasn't been around that long.

WetWired 2008-02-01 03:33 PM

Done.

KagomJack 2008-02-01 04:41 PM

Now Mod me, though I don't have 100% activity, but still view the forums all the time! :D

D3V 2008-02-01 04:47 PM

Now demod Sov, sorry guy you raid too much.

Thanatos 2008-02-01 05:03 PM

Maybe set up a poll?

Atnas 2008-02-01 05:34 PM

If we did fine without him why do we need a replacement?

!King_Amazon! 2008-02-01 05:42 PM

Me and Lenny keep things covered pretty well(and I haven't done a ton lately since I'm blocked at work, so Lenny is keeping things covered pretty well.)

Unless we see a surge of activity, I see no reason for more mods, except for individual forum mods, but that idea, like all of my other good ones, seems to be going nowhere.

Thanatos 2008-02-01 07:18 PM

I see.

My point is if we had another active moderator things might improve. It couldn't hurt, could it? I can only seeing this be beneficial. Of course, if it doesn't work out just de-mod that guy..

I donno. My .02

Demosthenes 2008-02-01 07:24 PM

I agree. Another trusted, active mod probably wouldn't hurt. At the same time, I don't see how it would make things better. What can a mod do that a regular member can't, as far as promoting the site goes?

That was my exact thought when reading this thread.

D3V 2008-02-04 05:58 AM

You need people that also set things up and create new topics/discussion. Moderating posts is only half of the job.

!King_Amazon! 2008-02-04 07:17 AM

Everyone can create new topics and discussions, and I'm not sure what you mean by "set things up."

You may recall me going through a bunch of the forums trying to set up contests and stuff, like the flame-off, and nobody seemed to be interested in any of them. I fought to get the NSFW forum for-freaking-ever and now it's dead.

Here, 17 people said they wanted an Adult Forum. There are currently 21 members of the NSFW group. It's still dead.

How about we try to solve the real problem? We shouldn't be talking about inactive mods, we should be talking about inactive members. I've made all sorts of attempts at activity, but nobody wants to play along.

Here is the thread where I linked to all of my ideas after I went through all of the forums,

There really isn't much more a mod can do. When I come up with ideas for the admins, they end up almost always going nowhere, and when I come up with ideas for the members, they either go nowhere or suck. What else do you suggest we do?

D3V 2008-02-04 07:29 AM

I just feel it's time for a change, why not make adjustments, what's the worst that can happen?

New moderators go power crazy and drive away active members?

KagomJack 2008-02-04 03:25 PM

I posted in the NSFW forum just recently! =<

Thanatos 2008-02-05 07:51 AM

You mean like KA did?

kakakak

D3V 2008-02-26 08:57 AM

De-mod Sov now? He doesn't even post, let alone uphold his title.

talentedhamster 2008-02-26 04:46 PM
