How do bans work on this site?
 

I see stuff like "Why is D3V banned", yet D3V is posting in the topic, which is clearly not supposed to be possible because he's banned.

Also, in that topic, !K_A! said he had banned me, which made no sense, because I was posting as usual.

Do bans work differently here? I'm accustomed to the whole "you log in and it says you are banned, you can't post or view or anything" type deal.

Maybe you were "temp banned"? Or they just banned your "IP".

My ban was for a few days, that topic started like a week ago and after my ban was up I posted on that specific topic.

Eh. My IP is static, but yeah.

I'm used to going on forums where the term "ban" refers to permanently preventing someone from accessing the site at all. Usually what you call a temp-ban is called a mute or purg in other places.

On here a temp ban is usually 24-72 hours. A regular ban is anywhere from a week-2/3 weeks. And Perm ban, is self explanatory.

Well yes, of course. I'm sure I'm one of them amongst some various members that have period outbursts on almost any occasion, among the others, most of them don't stick around though.

My knowledge of situation is only that D3V is disliked by many people and gets temp-banned a lot, WW is stuck-up, !K_A! I haven't been around enough to know what he's like, and that's pretty much all.

Most people dislike D3V. And 98% of the Zelaron population wants to kill Kyeruu, but he hasn't been around much lately. Every once in a while, though, we'll get a good decent troll that will get ridiculed until he's forced to kill himself or just leave the site altogether.

You've missed most of the good drama, flameviper. Maybe if I'm bored one day I'll make a thread recalling all of the past dramas that are worth reading about. There have been a lot of great drama events at Zelaron but these days it's pretty much just all lame shit.

Yeah, i'm just trying to spice things up around here and be the devil's advocate in every possible situation instead of just agreeing and trying to move things forward in a simple manner, but it really doesn't work because there aren't that many people speaking their mind, it's basically a majority that just goes with the flow.
