Hey guys and gals, we need more peoples. Join up so we can get this going good. We've got about 10 members right now, which isn't bad, but we can do better. Bring friends, bring family, join the fun. There's not much going on in the forum yet because we're trying to get everyone joined up first and trying to figure out what the rules will be. Come make suggestions for subforums, or come post some stuff. For right now nudity is not allowed but this will most likely change in the near future.

To get in, just go here and apply for membership. If you don't get approved within ~24 hours, send me a PM in case I missed your application. Once you've done that, follow WW's instructions for authenticating below, it's just one simple click. Getting in is not hard at all.

Once you get in, be sure to read the rules, and give your input on where you think the forum should end up in the future as far as content goes.

It took forever and a half, but I finally figured out how to work the fancy permission system...

Therefore, I give you: the NSFW forum. To get access, go to User CP|Group Memberships, click Join Group next to NSFW Access, then the Join Group button below, then wait for KA to approve your application. You may need to PM him for him to notice, but please do not PM him more than once.

The NSFW forum is still in testing. Please read the sticky there before posting.

If the NSFW Access group appears at the bottom of the Group Memberships page, you are already a member.

Once you are a member, there is one further issue. In order to separate work from home, the following two links make the distinction:

Logging out will disable access. Cookies are required for access.

Once you have access, the NSFW forum appears in the Lounge

D3v, why haven't you asked for access yet?

WW, 2 questions.

1. Is this authentication based off of IP address? If my IP address changes, will it get all screwed up? I think it's based purely off of cookies and IP address won't matter as long as you have the cookie on the machine, just wanna make sure.

2. How long does authentication last? Does it have to be renewed or anything like that? If I set it to work at home, and I go to work and log in and then log out, will I still have access at home? I think as long as cookies stick around authentication will stay as well, and since logging out clears your cookies, logging out at work would only clear my cookies at work.

A few notes:

1. This thread should probably be stickied, and the title should be something like "How to gain access to the NSFW forum" so people don't think this is just about discussing the NSFW forum.

2. I doubt anyone needs to PM me right now if they're requesting entrance, I'll be checking to see if anyone has applied pretty damn regularly. A week from now, you might have to start PMing me, but I really don't want my PM box filled up with requests that are unnecessary because then I have to clean my box out(which I've never done and I'm happy that way.)

3. Would it be possible to get sub-forums/categories in the NSFW forum? Some people have expressed their dislike of having certain fetishes be posted in the adult forum, but as long as it isn't illegal, I don't see why it shouldn't be allowed. A few examples are "Furry Forum" "Hentai Forum" "Yaoi Forum." I'll probably end up making a thread for requests in the NSFW forum once there are actually people who post in there.

Authentication is based off of cookies. The access cookie will remain for one year if you don't logout.

As I've sort of already indicated there, I'm leaving it to you guys to figure out what you want to do with it, of course Chruser will have the final call.

So does this mean there will be a shift in the rules? Basiaclly anything that may be NSFW should be shifted into this specific forum, and what about language etc?

Anything that is allowed outside of the NSFW forum right now will still be allowed later, unless for whatever reason someone in the staff deems it inappropriate. The NSFW forum isn't for pussifying the rest of the forums.

I should note, however, that some posts in at least one of the threads that got moved violate the rules, but I was feeling lenient ATM.

The general idea is that the current rules, as written, will stand, and there will be an exception for the NSFW forum. The rules for that forum will be posted in a sticky in the NSFW forum and never make it to the FAQ, since we don't need to confuse newcomers. The open area of Zelaron needs to be safe for work, because a large fraction of the membership visits at work, many exclusively at work.

I don't think language has ever been an issue at Zelaron, unless it is flaming.
