Yet another
Hey guys. You've done so much for my project here and I appriciate it a lot, but I have another question.
Is there a way so that I can get a switch to turn on at a certain time of day. I don't there is, but there's no pain in questioning. Oh! And I need to know how to make something happen when the timer runs out of time. Thank you. |
I think that the switch and time of day is done using a timer.
In answer to your second question, have a read through this thread: http://zelaron.com/forum/showthread....ght=timer+beer I've got a post some way down in which I've attached screenshots of the screens with events after a timer. You should be able to take that information and modify it for your own needs. I've got the demo somewhere still, I think. I'll upload that once I've sorted out my computer. |
Alright. So I make common events. Okay, this is what I'm doing. I'm having a few questions to answer, but if you don't answer them in time, you fail. That's slightly different than the scenario in that thread. I keep trying to get it right.
I tried putting "<>Branch if timer is 0M 00S Less/Equal <> :Else Handler <> Message: You've failed the Test <> :End <>" right after the timer set and start timer, and it just automaticly says "You've failed the Test". Then I tried putting it at the end, and it doesn't show up at all when the timer runs out. That Common Event there is an exect copy, so if it's anything to do with that, please tell me. Do I need my other Common event (which is the test) to somehow branch into this one? Once again, thank you very much. |
Eh, I hope I'm not bothering you guys with all these questions.
|
Nah. That's what we're here for. :)
I've been out all day, today, and will be tomorrow. Plus I need to re-install both RPG Makers (formatted C: and re-installed Windows, you see). If I'm not working Tuesday, then I should be able to have a solid answer to you then. If I am, then I'll have to do bits and bobs tomorrow evening and Tuesday evening. |
Not a problem. I'm working on another project in the mean time.
Thank you. |
Try putting the "You failed the test" part in the place holder above the else handler place.
It should work. |
I've been trying that for a while. No go.
So does else anyone have an answer? |
Anybody have anything at all?
