SO is MTV a credible awarding tv station?

I haven't watched mtv in probably 7+ years.

I only watch MTV for Rob & Big. Those dudes crack me up.

Everything else on MTV is 100% shit.

MTV has gradually gone down the shitter. 80%+ of the shit on MTV (Music Television) isn't even music. Back in the beginning, MTV was great, these days it's retarded.

All the music channels are shit, imho. American channels show American pop and Emo music, both of which make me want to throw up, and English channels show much of the same, with the odd Brtish girl band thrown in for good measure. And then there's all the heavy rock ones that involve a lot of screaming and bass overdrive.

Largely the ones they play on MTV are considered half emo by the metal community as well.
