They're saying that possibly within the next years they may have machine guns and rpgs mounted on these things. I don't know about you guys but I'm starting construction of a bunker tonight! =o. |
That's pretty badass. Leave it to the Koreans..

Old news. I read about this like 2 months ago.

A bit wobbly, ain't it? I'm surprised the fella in the video didn't get seasick...

I'd be shocked if the military isn't researching exoskeletons for heavy combat already. I imagine that the main constraint is cost-effectiveness.

I heard recently that some sort of exoskeleton like cyber-ninja ala Metal Gear Solid suit was going to be made available to the military soon, for a cheap price. Like it's not something super intense, but I think it's just like full bullet proof body armor and resistant to flame and all sorts of other shit.
|
The only upcoming military exoskeleton I know of is a system to take the increased weight of the soldier's gear off his legs.
|
Yep, that's it. The bad thing is the system itself is pretty heavy once it runs out of power so ...yea.

Much cooler than a wheelchair :p
And of course it doesn't take watching too many animes to realize that asians will be the first to invent a mech/gundam/walker type machine. |
