help me please! im pregnant!
Hi i really need help....
when i download a new sprite or tileset to use it has a white border around it.. now i know its something to do with transparency so i tried using photoshop7 to edit it but my god! i was there for hours and didnt get no where. So i guess im asking for a step by step guide to use photoshop7 to edit this transparency problem, I know theres easier ways of trying this and trust me ive tried 'em but they just wont work!! If any1 has the time, then please could you tell me diferent ways of trying to sort it. Oh! im using rmxp.. Thankyou for your time :) |
You gotta copy/paste each sprite to its own layer, then just zoom in and delete the border pixel by pixel. It's not too hard and its the most accurate way of getting rid of the border.
You can also hold CTRL+Click the sprites layer in the layers menu. Then go to Select>Modify>Contract>1 Pixel. |
A white backround shouldn't matter. Import it to RMXP and left click on the white.

eZer Way (Using Flash)
New Flash Document > File > Import > Import to Library Now that you've imported your SPRITE SHEET into the library drag it from the library into the stage then do this: Modify > Bitmap > Trace Bitmap > 100, 1, w/e, Pixel Now just click on the background and press "Delete" on your keyboard. And all of your sprites are now perfectly seperate from each other. |

Don't you get it? The white backround is mandatory. You need it when you import. Stop trying to delete it. |
You could also use the magic wand tool to select the white background and delete it in either Photoshop or Fireworks. :p
