I'm not quite sure how well a strategy game will work on a console. They seem to be a lot better on PC and from my experiences in the past at least I never really liked console strategy games.

Example: Imagine playing Starcraft from the PC on a PS2 instead.

It depends if it's been designed well.

There are some next-gen strategy games that work extremely well on consoles, but not so much on PC.

One such is Assassins Creed.

I'd think Prince of Persia is in the same boat.

Halo Wars is going to be a Real Time Strategy game. Prince of Persia is in no way a Real Time Strategy game. Real Time Strategy game=Red Alert, Command and Conquer, Starcraft, Dune whatever, Age of Empires, Age of Mythology, Rise of Nations, Warcraft, etc.

EDIT: Assassins Creed is considered an Action/Adventure game, while Prince of Persia is considered a platform game. Neither of those are Real Time Strategy games.

The only RTS I've ever played that could work well on a console is Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising, but it is an RTS/action hybrid. You can control your units with simple three stroke keyboard commands (unit key, action key, target key) from the unit you're focused on, or you can basically pause the game while you go to the map and give more complicated orders.

Hmmm... I was thinking strategy in the way that you have to plan what to do then do it...

I'm excited to see how it turns out as well. I'm not saying it's a guaranteed bust, just making an observation. For all I know it could blow everything else away.

Nope, I didn't. I think I played Red Alert or something on a console once and it was horrible. I can imagine it would suck though.
