Bad Luck

Does anybody ever feel like luck is never on your side? Like, you go above and beyond to get something you want and never get it or work your ass off and still not get it. Lately, i have had this black cloud following me, for example, i have been studying for this accounting exam, totaling 14 hours, and i still feel like i bombed it. Another example is that you think you have made great, trusting friends, but then they just turn their cheeks when you need them. My friends here feel like they can say anything to me and that it will be a secret or that i will try hard to help them get through it. But when i need help, they just dont give a shit and say, well i dont have time. Im just going through a bad phase in my life and was wondering if anybody has gone through one of these. How did you break out of it or is it still around with you today?

People won't respect you if you make them a priority over yourself.

gruesomeBODY 2006-04-10 06:40 PM

Well isnt respect something that friends should share? I believe respect comes when you find somebody that you can talk to about anything. Obviously, i haven't found the right people in my life because im not treated right. I just feel that friends shou;d be there for each other, but they dont apparently. It just hurts and sucks.

Willkillforfood 2006-04-10 07:40 PM

They aren't really friends then :o.

Yea and thats whats pissing me off. So the question is, how do i tell them i want to stop helping them, without really hurting them?

Ganga 2006-04-16 10:50 PM

start with the phase “remember last time”

"Luck chooses those who are prepared." obviously 14 hours of studying weren't enough for the accounting exam. Next time, start a week early to study instead a day early.

gruesomeBODY 2006-04-17 12:20 AM

I started 5 days earlier (studying for the exam). Accounting in general isnt easy and im not an accountant, so its that much tougher. I like that phrase though, where did you hear it?

Ganga 2006-04-17 11:31 AM

That is true, accounting can be a bitch. In college apartment, noone ever wants to take out the trash or do the dishes, so that phrase comes in handy.

HandOfHeaven 2006-04-17 11:36 AM

Not just a college apartment has that problem. I go to hang out with my old manager at this house, with people in their mid-20s, and their entry-way is just a pile of garbage. His room is really clean, it's just the rest of the house are slobs. So, when I came over I saw them finally cleaning it out, because of the smell. It took 3 trips to the dump in his truck. Utterly disgusting. Oh, and not to mention all the mold and shit growing in their sink.

I'd had bad luck before, seeming as I was trying to roll over to the other side of my car. I slid off and banged my head.

gruesomeBODY 2006-04-23 12:56 AM

haha that sucks. bad luck is me getting pulled over today with 5 40's and the cop seeing them. But the only good thing was that i was transporting with unopened containers so he let me go. Oh and he pulled me over because he thought he saw somebody smoking somehting in my back seat, where noone was.

Willkillforfood 2006-04-23 01:13 PM

Good thing you aren't 19 like me :P.

gruesomeBODY 2006-04-23 03:15 PM

Willkillforfood 2006-04-23 04:50 PM
