Displeasure - Chapter 2.

Chapter 1 - http://zelaron.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36525

DISPLEASURE - Chapter 2

I stared at my badge, mocking the name it bore: the very name of the one who swore to protect. And in return, its reflection mocking its bearer, an irony of a fruit that would not bear. I didn't deserve the right to protect, let alone the right to save a single life. Why did the gun of fate carry the bullet that ended my sweet Jinxy's life? The answer to the injustice lay within King Crabazon. His very blood would be used to absolve him of crimes against my beloved. Laying in bed, I stared at my badge, slowly building an anger for my incompetence. I threw the badge to the wall and looked at it as it fell to the floor, looking in both remorse and pity. I looked away, out the window. The rain has slightly subsided but it doesn't seem to be letting out. While staring, I slowly drift asleep. My eyes feel heavier and heavier and eventually...

I hear something crash downstairs. The sound was loud enough to knock me out of my doze. I reach towards the nightstand to my right and clumsily attempt to grasp my glock in the dark. With the glock at hand, I slowly get up and walk towards my bedroom door. As I creak towards it I can hear something or someone seemingly making themselves comfortable in my home. I slowly open the bedroom door, and as I do so a bang of lightning roars past my bedroom window. I see a silhouette in front of me from the flash, vaguely in the shape of a person. I feel the hot rush of fear moulding itself around my nerves and an extreme hestitation coercing my legs to remain idle. Still, I move forward in the dark; I hear nothing, and feel nothing ahead of me as I make my way towards the stairs. I guide my way down the stairs and as I reach the last step I hear a very faint organic-sounding chirping. I hear the sound comin from the general direction of my kitchen. I walk towards the dark, my arms extended in front of me clenching my glock. As I enter the kitchen, I hear the chirping sound again, this time louder. I reach around the entrance and flip the light switch with my left hand. In front of me, there was nothing. I would see the wind and rain battering my kitchen window, but otherwise, nothing. I was relieved, yet still shaken from the mysterious noises I heard. I put the glock on the counter, opened my fridge, and grabbed the milk. As I drank, I looked up, and nearly dropped dead from the shock. Hanging from my ceiling was one of my old acquaintances from the FBI, ParaOps Unit: Codename Adrenachrome.

I want to know how Adrena got in the Fan...and why.

Ugh. What the hell was that?

The only ending I must say.
