Inside these chips, art awaits...

Right, now I'll write something.

An article about some guy who has found art carved onto chips. About 100 things so far. It's pretty amazing.

That's actually kinda cool....

I thought you were talking about potato chips at first though :-/

Grav 2005-10-14 03:37 PM

Yeah I've seen this before. It's cool.

Lenny 2005-10-14 04:02 PM

This is the first I've heard of it.

Engineers who have nothing better to do than carve images on chips...ah, that's the life. :D

Does anyone here work in the manufacturing of these itty bitty chips?

As in Crisps? Do you guys not have proper chips?

http://bikesandbeef.co.uk/ridepics/m...ears/chips.jpg

Now those are chips...and I think we're one of the only places that has them. NZ may, and there's a slight chance the Aussies eat them, but as far as I know that's it.

Proper chips those are, not itty bitty fries.

----------

Wouldn't all the little carvings affect the chip in some way?

Adrenachrome 2005-10-15 09:45 AM

Nah looks like they're all made onlike... blank parts of the silicone.

Lenny 2005-10-15 11:00 AM

Fair enough.

The only thing is, how would people (apart from the engineers who actually did them) come to know that there is a carving of some sort on their chip? Heck, there could be a chip in mine, or your, or another members computer with something on it, and we'd never know.

Lenny, those are fries.

THESE are chips:

I most likely will one day, I'll write "To: Lenny From: KA" on one just for you.

Lenny 2005-10-16 06:47 AM

You'd have to tell me where to look, else I'll miss it completely... :)

Ketchup chips
You put Ketchup on chips, so why not buy some chips that come already smothered in Ketchup?

And those aren't chips they're crisps.

!King_Amazon! 2005-10-16 10:21 AM

In America, those are called chips, and very few people put ketchup on them(although I do like to myself.)

English Chips=French Fries in America
English Crisps=Potato Chips in America

Lenny 2005-10-16 03:00 PM

I thought you'd renamed them to Freedom Fries? Because of all the trouble with France veto-ing the UN thingy for thingy against Iraq?

Or was that just some kind crazy internet gossip that only reached the Brits?

Anyway, we've got Chips, Crisps, and Fries over here.

The difference between Chips and Fries is that Chips are big fat things whilst Fries are thin as a pencil.

Adrenachrome 2005-10-16 10:16 PM

FREEDOM Fries asshole

FREEDOM FRIES

Jamesadin 2005-10-16 10:42 PM

Ketchup chips are delicious. I get them quite often.
