By Eduardo Vasconcellos | June 15, 2005 Advertisement Hollywood Reporter and Reuters is reporting that Vin Diesel has signed on to star in the movie adaptation of Eidos Interactive's Hitman series. Diesel is set to play Agent 47, the contract killer hired by "the Agency" to assassinate agitators worldwide. "Hitman is a project that by the virtue of its DNA can and will reach far beyond its already substancial core audience," said Adrian Askarieh, who will be producing the film. "The canvas on which this adventure takes place is something that movie audiences have embraced for the last 40 years." Currently working on the latest installment of the series, Hitman: Blood Money, Eidos and IO Interactive are set to meet with Diesel and his company Tigron Studios, to develop the next title in the Hitman series. If the companies decide to do business, Diesel will lend his voice and likeness to the future titles in the series. What is the world coming to when game makers decide to make films of their games??!
Making games of films is alright, but the other way round?? That's just plain weird... |
Tomb raider....
|
Now that wasn't too bad...but again, it's weird.
What other games have been made into films... Would you count the Final Fantasy one's as game films?? |
No, because it's a totally different story line. PLus it doesn't say, but i'm guessing an all new story line.
|
First of all, it's "Tigon Studios" (as in Tiger/Lion cross breed). Second, why the fuck is Vin Diesel playing 47? He definately does not fit the part. 47 is a proper guy not a scruffy muscled dude.

I copied and pasted it. I didn't see their error.
Yea, I was mad when they said Vin Diesel was playing 47. |
I think Bruce Willis would be a better choice, but that's just me.
As for Final Fantasy, the games themselves are close enough to being movies. That's why I like them. |
