File D/L prob
 

My computer has alot of spyware, and I know of atleast one trojan on it...so I'm not sure if my problem is fixable, but whenever I try to download a large progam, IE: Anarchy Online, my donwload always ends up freezing for no apparent reason. It does this w/ other games I try to d/l too. But I can get through it if I just click run, then when it freezes, close it, then quickly re-initiate the d/l and click run again, it will resume where it left off sometimes... Any ideas?

Spyware scan with Ad-Aware ( http://www.lavasoft.com ) and Spybot Search and Destroy ( http://security.kolla.de/ ). That's all the help I can offer.

Don't forgot HiJackThis (forgot dload site, just search for it).

Ya I've done the scans, thats how I know that I have them...but you always have to pay to get rid of them. Umm I downloaded the hijackthis, and I'm not quite sure the purpose of it...it says to show the log to knowledgable people but I can't upload it onto here, it says its and Invalid File Log.

HijackThis does not remove anything but it makes a log of all running processes that you should post here. Just copy and paste the text dude.

One thing that helped me was, go into your start menu, click "RUN", and then type msconfig. Then on the window that pops up, click the Start Up tab. Then click Disable all, and restart your machine. When you restart, another window will pop up, just click the check box and hit OK. Your system should start noticably faster, and most problems should be fixed.

As for the Lavasoft, that one you don't have to pay for. I got it and haven't payed a dime. It works really well too.

The last thing I could think of is (really helpful if you have Windows XP), go into your programs, then accessories, then system tools, and click disk defragmenter. It kinda organizes your system and makes it easier for your system to locate and run the proper files for the proper programs. If you have XP, just run the Analysis first. THIS DOES NOT RELOCATE ANY FILES!!! IF YOU HAVE A GAME LOCATED HERE: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat, THEN IT WILL STILL BE THERE!!!! It just makes it easier for the computer to find it.

If none of these helps you, then maybe your comp is beyond repair.....
