Find me some SCIII info.
Everyone go scour the net for info about Soul Calibur 3, post any info and the links here.

There isn't any concrete info, SYG. We know Namco is working on it, but nothing has been confirmed, and I've heard very few rumors circling around either way.
The only rumor that I have heard is that Nintendo may be working on trying to secure it as a 3rd-party exclusive. The GCN version of SC2 sold better on the Gamecube than on both the XBox and PS2, due mostly to the inclusion of Link. Nintendo's been getting a lot of exclusive support from Namco lately (Tales of Symphonia, Baten Kaitos, Mario Baseball, Star Fox Assault, etc), which is why people are theorizing that Nintendo might be working on making the SC franchise an exclusive. |
I thought you were asking for Starcraft 3 info...

Uhh I thought Game Cube's weren't aloud to have blood though. It would scare the kids.... Hope it isnt for just the Game Cube. That would suck. I only own a PS2 |
You obviously haven't played Eternal Darkness, Resident Evil, Resident Evil Zero or Resident Evil 4, all of which are Gamecube exclusives and all of which feature repugnant amounts of gore and blood.
You should really consider buying a Cube to compliment that PS2, though. Missing out on that shiny new Zelda game coming out this year would simply be unforgiveable. |
Ahh maybe I should restate that. I was saying it in a comical tone. I guess you wouldnt know unless you were to hear the sound of the voice. Words can mean alot of things depending on how they are spoken. Anyway. I realize there have been bloody games on the Game Cube, however, it would be bullshit for it to just be on the Game Cube. I hate it when developers make games that are console specific. About as much as I hate developers that make games for all 3 consoles and use the same graphics on all 3, not utilizing the XBOX's amazing graphical capabilities.
EDIT: Resident Evil came out on the playstation :) |
Mario Baseball?!? Pwn!

One for the road |
Either way, the GameCube seems pretty worthless to me, and I'm speaking from experience. When I got mine, I got a few of the "best games" for the GameCube and they ended up being shit. Metroid prime wasn't horrible but it has absolutely no replay value at all. I beat it one time and now I can't bear to play the game more than 15 minutes at a time.
Super Mario Sunshine is the definition of homosexual. I've actually played and own the game, so I'm not speaking like one of those "idiots" that hasn't played it, just seen it. It's just as good as it looks. Very boring, grueling play, and repeatative. Super Smash Brothers Melee was a complete disappointment. I played it by myself for an hour when I got it and never touched it again until someone told me I need to get a bunch of friends to play it with, so I did. I got 4 people playing together, and it was still horrible. Everyone with me agreed with me after about 5 minutes. This game is nothing compared to SSB. And the sad thing is, all of these games are just extentions on to previous titles(in a sense, no new titles here) and that seems to be the case with MOST nintendo games(not all). When I look at Xbox games compared to Nintendo games, there is so much stuff I haven't played before that is completely new to me. |
Oh, and by the way, if you're wondering, my GameCube is back in my closet. I pulled it out last week to try to play through Metroid Prime again and chucked it into my closet(since EVERYONE KNOWS the GameCube is the least breakable console, which is way more important than the games it has.)

I just love how every thread where the Gamecube is mentioned immediately warrants your negative opinions to be thrust into them. We weren't even talking about the Gamecube, we were discussing the possibility of Nintendo securing Soul Calibur as a third-party exclusive. Your opinions of Metroid Prime and SSBM have nothing to do with the discussion, yet you felt irresistably compelled to vomit them into this conversation? For what purpose? This isn't a Gamecube thread, it's a Soul Calibur thread. We all know you're bitter at Nintendo because you spent your parents' money on their console and the games you purchased didn't cater exactly to your demands. The commentary doesn't belong in this thread. |
And every thread where the PSP was mentioned warranted your negative opinions as well. Just shut up already, just because I have an opinion that you don't agree with doesn't mean you have to bitch at me for sharing it.
Nintendo was my favorite company until they ruined the name, ever since N64 it's been nothing but shit. It isn't my fault they went down the dumps. The NES and SNES were pure gold, and I'll support them to the grave. I happen to think I've got great taste in games. |
I don't like the GameCube for a stupid reason...Theres too many buttons on the controller...
Well...not really disklike. More like prefer to buy something else. I also heard that SC3 might be XBox exclusive. |
I'm starting to get pissed at the GameCube controller's lack of pressure sensitive buttons.

Raz we all have oppinions and they are invited on this thread. I don't even see any reason for you two to be fighting about this. I realize it has gone off topic however KA did keep it on topic by talking about the Game Cube =/ Anyway... Shutup both of you =P Get back on topic.
Anyway... Raz I think it is bullshit that you would be FORCED to buy a system just to buy a game that you would want to play. Ack bell rang. Ill finish this later. |
With out Console-specific games, the consoles would all end up with the same games, there wouldn't be much competition, and that means the consoles would have to compete by lowering prices instead, eventually they wouldn't even be making money, so they would stop selling and making new consoles.
