Ganondorf vs. Bowser

Fight takes place in a colosseum surrounding, and neither particpant gets outside interference from their lackeys. So who should win, the King of the Koopa or the Great King of Evil? I think it is time to clearly decide which villain is the most powerful between these two.

Okay, just a suggestion, but next time, describe an arena and the conditions of the match. I also don't think it is a good idea to pit smash bros characters against each other, because that could easily be dealt with on the game. Now on to the fight....

I'll make up an arena this time. You can change it if you don't like it, since this is your match.

ARENA
Demolished Country side
A huge arena with pieces of debris scattered everywhere. Anything could used from a deadly weapon, to a temporary shield, to a clever decoy. The ground is scorched and patches of grass dot the field. The structures that once housed peaceful townsfolk, now falling apart or engulfed in flames. Sea water has become dark and deadly. The sky is a dark red, with heavy clouds. Ganondorf's castle is seen in one direction, floating, giving off an ominous glow. Bowser's castle is seen in the opposite direction, flames spouting from around it, its towers rise just as high as Ganondorf's high-floating keep. Each castle lets down their doors, and releases each contestant....

READY............................................. ...............GO!

I believe Ganondorf would have the upperhand in this fight. 1.) He has a wicked sword, that he weilds with great power. 2.) He has brute strength that rivals that of Donkey Kong. 3.) He has more determination to reach his goals (world domination or sleeping with Zelda) than Bowser. And finally, he has 1/3 of the Triforce. His portion is POWER, and he would definately use that to transform into Ganon if he felt he was losing. Ganon has a whole butt-load more attacks and even more strength. He wins.

QUESTION: where do the winners get posted? now that this is a free for all, is there a specific person who checks the progress of the battle after so many days then decides the winners in a special thread, or does the thread started just say who wins?

Bowser is very intelligent and determined. How many times had he attempted to kidnap the Princes!?

I suggest a replacement for Bowser. He's impressive, but no match here Thinking of a less-known Mario boss, how about the Megasmilax? It's pretty tough. I don't want something or someone from Mario that is super powerful, but still formiddable.

Well Draco2003 I just meant that is was a secluded colosseum fight were there is nothing surrounding them, just one on one, mano e mano battle between the two. Also I think that just because Ganondorf and Bowser are in Super Smash Bros. Mellee that doesn't mean you can't make the compete in a forum battle. Super Smash Bros. Mellee has to be the absolute worst comparison for Nintendo characters ever.

One you could be someone like Samus Aran with Mr. Game & Watch or the Ice Climbers. Pit them from their retrospective games though and the outcome would clearly be favored for Samus Aran, as they can't compete with her, not even Nintendo's famed mascot Mario could compete with Samus. Then you have moves in there that doesn't even do what it does in their retrospective games. Take Jigglypuff for example. Rest is a move in Pokemon that heals a Pokemone completely and puts them to rest, but in SSMB: Mellee it is used as an attack, and you could even knock Giga Bowser off the screen with two or three attacks of it! Now that is pretty bad. What is worse is that Pichu, Pikachu, and Jigglypuff can all defeat Mewtwo in Super Smash Bros. Mellee if you wanted to, but that would never happen in their retrospective games. See what I am beginning to say now, it is just a bad reference.

Continuing on, Necromancer I would say that Bowser is a very determined individual, but intelligence is something he clearly lacks. Peach can outsmart him in Paper Mario, and she believed for a moment in Super Mario Sunshine that Baby Bowser was her kid!! He also thought that he was talking to Peach in Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door, when all it was, was a picture of her! How dense can he be? Don't get me wrong I love the character Bowser, he is a great comic-relief villain, but he is an idiot who tries to bully people around with his brute strength.

Another factor that makes Bowser look bad is that he is almost always being showed up by other villains. Smithy kicked Bowser out of his own castle. Cackletta possessed him, took seven of his children under her power, and even his greatest magikoopa Kamek away from him. Then you got Grodus and the Shadow Queen from Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door who show him up once again. Waluigi kicked his ass in Mario Party 3, and the guy runs around teaming up with the good guys, wishing them happy birthdays, has resorted to crying and you could go on and on.

Now does this sound like someone who is ready to take on Ganondorf. A guy who laughed at the fact that there was little chance of his survival and much less a chance of victory in the Wind Waker. But did he cry? No. Does he let other villains overthrow him? No.

Now that was just going through on things that resembles a little bit about their character. Still how do they match up in durability.

Bowser: In Super Mario Bros. he can be hurt by fire or falling in a pit of lava.

Would this hurt Ganondorf?

NO! Use Bombos, the Fire Rod, The Magic Rod/Book of Magic, Bombs, Fire Arrows, Ember Seeds, and so on and so forth and it is clear that Ganondorf is immune to fire/heat based attacks.

I could go on and on and on, but Bowser really isn't a match for Ganondorf. If I need to go into more detail I will, but I think anyone would realize after awhile that as great as a character as Bowser is, he is not a fighter that could match up to Ganondorf's might not on his best day, and there are many other Nintendo villains that Bowser could not match up to.

Well I wasn't trying to be tou-che just stating that Super Smash Bros. Melee is a bad reference.

As for Megasmilax, Necromancer well he is out of his league as well. Sure he could turn the party into toadstools and he could give you a bad bite, but really other than that he doesn't have much to offer. That and several other characters from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars are more powerful than him as well. As for Ganondorf let us look at some of the things he can do in his games.

Legend of Zelda
Ganon
-Can cast spells composed of dark energy
-Can remain invisible in battle
-Is invulnerable to all attacks except for the sword and Silver Arrow

Okay so he didn't have much to really offer in his first game, but it was the 80's and on the NES, so what did you expect.

The Legend of Zelda: A link to the Past
Ganon
-He could teleport
-shapeshift
-had a telepathic link with a dark priest known as Agahnim
-was a master of the black arts
-summoning a large bat that carried a trail of fire
-summoning many bats of fire to protect him as they move in a circular motion and then release them as they attack in a rage
-throws a trident around like a boomerang
-can shatter the ground by stomping
-can enshround the surrounding area into darkness
-is invulnerable to all attacks except for the Master Sword and the Silver Arrow

So this right here looks better and would clearly be a match for Bowser or Megasmilax, but still let us go on further and look at the rest of his powers so people will know what he is capable of that is if he shows up in another battle.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Ganondorf
-Put a curse on the Great Deku Tree that eventually killed it. This might not seem like much, but the tree breathed life to everything in the Kokiri Forest and was a powerful spirit of nature.
-Infected a giant whale known as Lord Jabu-Jabu with a Bio-Electric Anemone. This aquatic animal was said to be a diety of sorts to the Zora race, a tribe of aquatic creatures.
-After gaining the Triforce of Power, a relic which is a symbol of the Creators of the planet that Ganondorf resides in, he destroyed Hyrule Castle, a castle which was said to be both a visual marvel and an impenetrable fortress.
-Ganondorf was able to create a phantom of himself and when the creature failed, he used his dark magic to open a gap between dimensions and banish it for its failure.
-He can raise the dead, as is evidence when he revitalized an ancient subterranean lava dragon. Ganondorf gave an entire race to the dragon to feed upon, and the rock people known as the Gorons were thrown into despair and fear.
-He was able to freeze the inner palace of the water people, Zora's Domain.
-He casted a spell of Red Ice over their leader, a form of ice which could only be melted by blue fire.
-Imprisoned Princess Zelda in a crystal shard
-showed telepathy
-could levitate himself in the air
-could destroy remenants of the surrounding are by causing an earthshattering punch
-conjour up an energy ball composed of dark magic
-could amass a great force of darkness that would radiate six homing beams of dark energy
-his entire tower fell on him, and he still jumped out of the rubble ready to go another round
-used the Triforce of Power to turn himself into a wicked demon that reflected his twisted heart
-used two large scale weapons and swung them wildly as the demon Ganon
-Invulnerable to most weaponry, but not all

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons/Oracle of Ages
Ganon
-Could cast one large slow energy ball followed by two smaller faster energy balls
-Weilded a Trident of Darkness
-Can strike his Trident into the ground and release a flame that will split, that with six fireballs going in one direction and six fireballs going in another direction.
-Can smash the ground to shake an opponent off balance and follows up with immense magical attack of darkness
-Can fill the surrounding area with anti-matter, a negative energy that reverses gravity so that one must move in the opposite direction they are thinking

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
Ganondorf
-captured a bunch of blonde headed girls
-sent a volcanic Gohma to upset the spirit of the wind, Valoo
-Destroyed the Greatfish Isle
-Set a thunderstorm so large that it covered the entire scope of the Great Sea and did not stop until the hero retrieved the Pearl of Nayru, and it even stopped daytime from ever coming
-Proved that conventual weaponary was useless against him, as the hero struck Ganondorf with the Master Sword, and as he stated if the blade did not have the power to repel evil the it would have no effect on him, so the hero would have to regain this lost power for the Sword of Evil's Bane.
-Valoo, the dragon, the mighty spirit of the wind destroyed Ganondorf's Forsaken Fortress while he was still in it, and he remained unharmed, and even Valoo said that his powers were simple and insignificant next to Ganondorf's.
-he could enter and see the dreams of Princess Zelda
-Ganondorf loves a challenge and hoped that this new hero would not dissapoint him as he set a puppet of himself to confront the lad
-When the lad was successful he met Ganondorf face to face, and the Evil King knocked the hero unconcious with several punches hoping to gain the power of the gods.
-He wouldn't succed as the King of Hyrule would wish on the relic of the gods first leaving Ganondorf to drown in the destruction since he had lost the Triforce of Power a source that could be possible for his immortality.
-Then he would show off his swordsman skills, in which he could block nearly any attack.
-he was later imbedded with the Master Sword in his forehead and he merely laughed about it as he was turned to stone.

The Legend of Zelda: Four Sword/Hyrulean Adventure:
Ganon
-he stole a dark mirror which reflects the twisted nature of a person and can use it to create a dark copy of an individual, be it a good or evil person
-stole a Trident of Darkness
-could teleport
-could transport people to the Dark World via his Trident
-could throw his Trident to send a sea of flames of blue fire
-cast several energy balls in a single attack
-cast several energy balls agian but this time they couldn't be reflected unless that person was wearing the color as the energy ball was

All of this puts him head and shoulders above Bowser or Megasmilax and you see there was no reason for me to even mention Super Smash Bros. Melee. Now Super Smash Bros. Melee is a great game, but if you want to know about the characters that are in them you gotta play the games that they are in, and this is what Ganondorf does in the games that he has been in.
