Easy. Login as the Administrator and not your girly man domain/local account. (WW is right, more info is required) |
Open up internet explorer, under file select open and than goto the drive labeled as 'c:\".
Well, it works at my school. |
Few things you can do:
Login as Administrator on the network Login as Local computer as administrator Reboot in safe mode and go to it go to Search and select the C:/ (some schools don't block it) Etc. |
Also, you can attempt to right-click the "All Programs" link in the Start Menu - Choose Explore All Users.
Or you can attempt to browse using the "Open" feature in MSPaint.. |

Control Panel/Printers or something like that. It should be right in the start menue. Then use the 'Up' button, you know the one that looks like a folder with an arrow pointing up. And do that till your in Mycomputer, click C:/. If this doesnt help tell me why you want to get in and I still might have a way. In 8th grade i got into the C drive and deleted files from the typing program we used. lol |
Too many diff ways to get there:
run command prompt and type "explorer" and enter then change address to c:\ Install winrar and it directly takes you to program files, from there u can go back to c: the possibilities are endless......they do that shit in my school but i figured out how to get to it thx to bluecube so its all good |
ok, i'll give you some more info if that'll help.
i cannot: -access my documents -access c: -access command prompt -install anything i've tried: -using IE, entering c: (gets restricted message) -using windows explorer, entering c: (gets restricted message) -using a shortcut to c: (gets restricted message) -using windows help (gets restricted message) i can get to the part where i can allow/deny things, but all the "allows" are blanked out. any way to get around this, short of acquiring an admin account? that's pretty impossible, seeing as how only the IT people have them. teacher accounts don't have access like that. |
Do you have access to the PC itself? Meaning can you put a floppy in it and boot to it? There is a pretty nifty utility that can change the local administrator account passwords. Read and learn young one:

Linux! Use it!
