Get there fast or go there fast?

To clarify, if you could get someplace by either driving 20 minutes at 20MPH in bumper to bumper traffic(get there in 20 minutes) or by driving 30 minutes at 70MPH on open freeway(go there at 70 MPH), which would you choose?

I hate fucking stoping for traffic, WEEEEE 100 MPH GOGOGO BABY.

Just the feeling of speed helps, maybe be longer but wont feel longer

Definitely "Getting There Fast" since not only will you save time, you will save gas money. Sure, in the example above it minute, but after consistently doing that, you will spend a lot more money.

Patience is a virtue.

Stop and go traffic burns more gas than freeway driving, there isn't any way to tell which would conserve gas unless you know the specific MPG of the vehicle you were taking.

I'd definately say 70 MPH and 30 minutes. But I'm a leadfoot so that may be why. I'd probably end up going about 90. (I've done it before :D)

Id choose the freeway. Solely for the fact that I like driving fast.

happyness > money.

Why do I get the feeling all of WW's polls are research for some sort of sinister conspiracy?

Going there fast is my choise. I hate traffic stops, mainly because u have to pay attention alot more than when ur driving on an open road.

Randuin 2004-06-15 07:45 AM

I'd fly there direct in my helicopter

Titusfied 2004-06-15 10:11 AM

Then again, with everyone picking the fast route, that too will get backed up, and then it defeats the purpose! Think about it, yo..

Acer 2004-06-15 11:13 AM

Thats going outside of the question tho lol
