help with shield
 

anyone know wats the best eth elite pala shield to make exile with for best smite dmg? i heard it was eth zakarum but some said vortex as well :confused:

Id go with the vortex. I had a non eth vortex exile shield, and it did a good deal of smite dmg. Id would probably own if eth.

well, depends if the zak is hacked, if it is then the zak, if it isnt then vortex

Eth Vortex's are awesome, I have seen some Defense ranges(on exile of course) from 700-900 (at least I think so).

It has to be higher then that. My non eth had about 710 def.

Yeah, well they weren't perfect though. But you can get really high D ratings with high level Holy Sheild. I'd also, for fun and some strategy, equip a Doom weapon and get a Bramble, and then buy a Might Merc and get 5 auras going! (Holy Freeze, Might, Thorns, Defiance, (insert aura you like here, most likely Concentrate or Fanaticism))

A PERFECT Eth Vortex Exile would be 1213 DEF.

225 (max def on a Vortex) * 1.5 (Ethereal Trait) = 337 def

337 * 3.6 (perfect ed% on exile runeword) = 1213

That would be a smiting-ass shield.
