I was learning to put threads on a tire...

Pretty damn good. What program did you use.

I used Lightwave 7.0 and a tut on threading... I used a thread pic from a tut to make the threads... I did the tut like a year ago so I was doing this to see if I could do it w/o any help

pretty good, but IMO there's two much space between each one :) Man what you did is SOOO much easier in an application with real edge support :D

Yeah and also the treads don't curve on the top as much, but I went and did the rims.... I suck at surfacing so it looks like crap

I need a good Rim Reference... I couldn't find one... that is why the center is fake looking(I just did it for w/e)

platnum 2004-05-13 08:32 PM

wow, the rim like blinds out the rest of the tire.

Acer 2004-05-13 09:32 PM

actually the tire was suppose to be high performance but the treads I foudn didnt look it... and I was to lazy to change the tire

Still, its not bad.

A rim design can be just about anything (within reason), but the spoke part should never be more than 1/4 the width of the rim (though it may appear anywhere within that width), and needs a hole slightly larger than what you have for the axle, and needs holes for lug nuts (4 for most cars, 5 for performance cars, and 5 or 6 for trucks)
