Hardcore OR Softcore?
 

Post your prefrence, and your reason for it.
Personally I love hardcore you almost always have a char to build and you have to build chars that WORK as opposed to stupid ones. Its a test of skill as well, I would say its pretty good to have a level 75 hardcore character. Also there are fewer level 40 duchebags in hell that bog down games and do nothing but die over and over again.
I played softcore for a while, but I just made a char that died alot and It still worked. I got bored and went to harcore.

I do lots of odd stuff to be playing Hardcore.

Softcore, i dont feel like having a lvl 88 or so character, and him dying in a bad baal run, or having him die at the hands of a stupid pk.

softcore, if you want a hardcore challenge, play softcore and quit the character if you die, simple as that, and you dont lose all the gear you worked for

My PvM characters die often due to lag.

I agree. I can handle death by monsters, but death by lag just sucks.

And what about those stupid Stygian Dolls. THey like practically explode on you, not to mention the iron maiden in the chaos sanctuary during a zeal or a whirlwind. It sucks a lot....

I like hardcore coz its more challenging even if im on 56k i will still play HC. I dont die so much.

Then your 56k must be the damn BEST 56k in the nation. I got lag pked, lag killed by monsters, and lag discons up the ass when i used to have dial up.

Either that or he is refering to a 56k pipe of the T1 to his house is reserved for D2.

Softcore I don't like the fact that I would lose my char if I die.

hardcore is good cuz it's addictive, it's also it's downpoint. Once you play hardcore, you will get addictive to it until you have very high lvl char like softcore.

I have 56k modem, yes i do get lag but im a very careful dude when it comes to hardcore.

I prefer Softcore but hardcore is kinda more intense i think it gets you into the game more then a Sc game...and just the fact stated several times before lag sucks...bad. Speacially on a 56k modem

I tryed HC when patch came out, I sucked at it so I switched back to SC. Plus, I really hated pkers, they always seemed to just know how to piss me off the wrong way.

I have 56k modem, I never have problems, I in general dont join big games where there is no barb, but usually there is a barb to cry, and make me have like 2k life. And if there is no barb I get a mele char and then join, I will make my own barb one day.
Hardcore is more fun being that there is the risk of monster and PK and it is more real, you cant be rekless, and people are more serous.
When I do Baal runs you have to rely on your team, sorcs to tele, barbs to cry, and the such. Most people on hardcore are nicer, xcept the pkers.

Soft core, till I get DSL, then both

Softcore is cool cause you can pk and die and keep your stuff and hardcore is fun when all you want to do is PVM and see if you are a "LEETIST" of D2

I dont mind dieng in hardcore, my Bf assasian just died and I just felt more motivatd to play!
