Devil May Cry 1 or 2?

1 for me. I only played part of 2, but 1 is definately better.

BlueCube 2004-02-29 12:10 PM

Never played 2, so uhh.. I'm only qualified to say "#1 is good".

RoboticSilence 2004-02-29 12:46 PM

2 was to easy and was just about style... 1 was actually somewhat of a challenge.

Tyrannicide 2004-02-29 01:38 PM

1 pwned 2's ass. one was a challenge and took a lot longer to beat then two which could be done in a day easily.

Raziel 2004-02-29 11:52 PM

Never played 2, but I own 1 and it's a blast. I've heard nothing but bad things about 2.

Dan XIII 2004-03-03 10:41 AM

I never played the second one.I have the first one and I like that though.

zagggon 2004-03-14 11:34 AM

The first one pwned so bad i loved it, also beat it in like 2 days. From what i heard the 2nd one is shitty.:(

Here are something people say about DMC2:
"Devil May Cry 2 sucks."

"The cameras are the worst in DMC2."

"Dante isn't really Dante in DMC2."

"DMC2 is a huge disappointment."

It's not just about the difficulty... I can easily beat (Normal) DMC1 within hours, (Of course, Must Die mode is harder. Much Harder. I had to retry for about an hour just to get a feel on the last encounter with Nelo Angelo. I have given up the Straight S plan on Must Die mode...)

Dante's personality has been changed, and his weapon, namely Ifirts, has been taken away, instead he is given swords. 3 different swords, but all of them have the same moves.

I didn't beat Dante Must Die mode on DMC2 though, because of some cheap bosses... the three heads thing. And some of the ultra-lengthy stages are tiresome as well.

definanlty 1

Grav 2004-03-20 08:17 PM

I've never played either one, but since half the people in this thread have biased opinions I figure I'd say that they both suck!

Dan XIII 2004-03-23 12:22 PM

If you have a playstation 2 it would be a good idea to rent the first one. Then you could buy it if you liked it.

Pimpiroth 2004-03-23 08:25 PM

DMC 1 and 2? They do not suck

Those games do not suck. Maybe the 2nd game does but i wouldn't know cuz i never played it but i know i like the first game. It is only good if u like adventure type games with RPG elements mixed with a little Resident Evil style items and weapons.

Senesia 2004-03-23 09:00 PM

RPG elements in Devil May Cry...? You mean... the using Red Orbs to buy items and moves?

Like I've said... two isn't worth playing, it does nothing but ruin the image of Dante, and ruin the series.

Raziel 2004-03-24 12:14 AM

The Red Orbs thing isn't RPG related, for the love of christ, "pimpiroth". Arg! I've had enough of this sort of bullshit!!

Dan XIII 2004-03-24 10:31 AM

Matt never said that it was the red orbs that gave it RPG elements. If anything the blue orbs make it more like an RPG and the fact you can save up red orbs to buy abilities.

Senesia 2004-03-24 10:35 AM

NO.
Why aren't you happy with the fact that Devil May Cry is a great Action game?

Dan XIII 2004-03-24 10:49 AM

I am happy with that. Why aren't you happy that it has RPG elements?

Senesia 2004-03-24 10:51 AM

Because it DOeS nOT have RPG elements.

Dan XIII 2004-03-24 11:15 AM

that is your oppinion. Let's just drop the subject.

Senesia 2004-03-24 11:17 AM

Argh... not the "That's just your opinion" argument...

http://zelaron.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28016

Why do people like to throw the term "RPG elements" around?
