Games of 2004

What do you think the best game of 2004 will be? Biggest let down? Biggest surprise?

Best Game: Halflife 2
Biggest Let Down: havent decided =] Ill edit later
Biggest Surprise: havent decided =] Ill edit later

This is a hard decision.Really depends on the catagory that u choose from.
Best Game: Final Fantasy XI (im not explaining why right now)

Biggest let down: hmmm...Lord of the Rings: Return of the KIng(the final boss was way harder then anything else in the game, it was like 10x harder and it had to much from the Two Towers happen at the beggining, kind of dumb. Loved the movies though)

Biggest suprise:...have no idea. decide for this one later

Best game i think will be World Of Warcraft....assuming that it does come out this year. Blizz has a tendancy to delay things...a lot.

WoW is WOW! [/clever]

Demosthenes 2004-01-19 08:43 PM

Best Game: doom 3
dunno about other 2...but i think doom 3 will be the best game of the yr

From the sound of things, WoW will be the best, no clue about the biggest let down/surprise.

Best game of 2004? I'm waiting to learn more about Metroid Prime 2 and Wind Waker 2. I'd bank on either one of those.

Biggest letdown? Don't really know. If Devil May Cry 3 is released this year, I'd bet on that.

Biggest surprise? Nintendo's "mystery machine" will be a giant robot octopus that is programmed to seek and destroy Osama Bin Laden, George W. Bush and Bill Gates by any means necessary.

I'm 90% sure HalfLife2 will be the biggest thing along iwth world of warcraft.. both games I plan on getting!... its been a long time since a great game came out ...

Best game: HalfLife2
LetDown:HalfLife2 is delayed!
Surprise:Halflife2's engine!

:) all halflife2.. i think u can all tell im hyped about that!

Rurouni Storm 2004-01-21 08:14 PM

I don't know what will be the biggest game this year, but I fully expect Half Life 2 and Doom 3 to be letdowns. I have no interest in World of Warcraft or any other MMORPG either.

Best Game: HALO 2 or Splinter Cell 2

I don't really follow games enough nor do I purchase shitty games ever, other than Azurik... God, what the hell was I thinking? I guess I just wanted an RPG on XBox and went for the first thing...

Kinda like not getting laid in months and deciding on fucking anything with a twat...

Hades-Knight 2004-01-21 08:41 PM

I'd love to play FF xI with my ps2....too bad you will have to pay monthly beside buying the $49 game and the ps2 harddrive wich will be expensive for sure

Fable looks good, though.

Far Cry Will Pwn U All!

Acer 2004-01-23 03:36 AM

Best: Halo2 if it dosent get pushed back till next year.... if it is then HL2
Biggest Let Down: Any good game that EA comes out with for Xbox and wont put live on it
Biggest Surprise: Chruser's mom and probly will be D&D for Xbox

p1ng 2004-01-23 11:56 PM

Best game: Half Life 2. Doom3 and Halo2 will be great, but HalfLife has the fanbase to outdo both of them.
Biggest Letdown: A lack of games from RARE.
Biggest Suprise: A christmas release of Conker: Live and Uncut? I can only hope.

Titusfied 2004-01-24 09:10 AM

Biggest let down: HALO 2 getting pushed back into 2005... Just my prediction, no concrete evidence, so don't ask.

Chruser 2004-01-24 09:23 AM

Civilization 4 perhaps? I'd like an integration between the civ and alpha centauri technologies into one, mutli-world based strategy game.

Titusfied 2004-01-24 10:02 AM

I've actually only played Civ 2, and I loved it. I hear Civ 3 is a lot more in depth and tougher, but I've yet to get around to purchasing it. If Civ 4 is coming out soon though, I'll probably just hold off until that hits the market.
