Cold Damn!

You think its cold where you live? Ha! Just recently, the temperature midday dropped to -50 degrees C. Or, for all you Americans, thats -60 degrees F. Cold damn! o_O

p1ng 2004-01-08 05:42 PM

where do you live? damn.

!King_Amazon! 2004-01-08 05:43 PM

That's not cool, that's fucking cold.

Adrenachrome 2004-01-08 05:44 PM

I'd never leave the house.

BlueCube 2004-01-08 05:44 PM

Makes the 10 degrees (F) weather here look like shorts weather...

(F-32) * 5/9 = C , right?

If that's true, it's -12 (C) here..

Sovereign 2004-01-08 05:49 PM

It got to -13 f here yesterday. TO lazy to convert it.

D3V 2004-01-08 06:17 PM

Damn, it was a chilly 55 f here in florida at noon.

p1ng 2004-01-08 06:26 PM

its about -1 or -2 C here. snowing lightly.

Eddie_Perez 2004-01-09 12:00 AM

The other day there was a 50 mph wind so the windchill was at -45ยบ F. I went out in shorts and t-shirt to throw away the trash... it was... fun.

thats not cold, i like to keep my computer in a deep freeze so it cant be destroyed easly via overheating. the temp gadge mesures -127.1c, if theres a leak then ill be in a block of ice when i wake up.

Sovereign 2004-01-09 02:37 AM

What the hell do you use as a cooling system. Liquid nitrogen!?

That's possible, but only for short periods of time and only for overclocking stunts by professionals. I think Zar is just talking out of his ass, heh. Conventional liquid cooling systems don't go below -40 C, I believe.

Lies!

Jessifer 2004-01-09 11:28 AM

Well, it's nowhere near below 0, but it's still cold for me. I can't stand winter. Sure, the snow is pretty to look at, but I dislike being out in it. That and Western Michigan weather is highly unpredictable. We didn't get our first snowfall until christmas eve, and that wasn't even an inch of snow. And right now we have almost a foot of snow outside. Geh. Icky stuff.

actualy u can get liquid nitrogen cooling systems for around 2k.

Grav 2004-01-09 12:24 PM

That's rediculously expensive and dangerous, plus refilling it must cost a lot too. The odds of you having one are zero to nilch, though..

D3V 2004-01-09 12:50 PM

Actually, you can't buy liquid nitrogen cooling systems, and even ''if'' you could, it wouldn't be for 2k. Well, lets put it this way, proove that you've got one, and where to buy it, because they don't have any sort of market for them.

Jamesadin 2004-01-09 03:24 PM

For everyone, 0 C is 32 F.

Jessifer 2004-01-09 03:30 PM

My world revolves around fahrenheit(sp). It is all I know. Teacher tried to teach me to convert it, and my brain blew up. Where's my calculator, damnit?

Jamesadin 2004-01-09 03:34 PM

Well, metric pwns all, it makes sence. 0 is freezing point. 100 is boiling point. Its good.
