To the races!
Long time no post, but here's something I have been working on lately:

Thats pretty good, it'd be better if you could make it a little bit bigger and smoother though, other than that, its pretty fucking good.
|
Sweet! Is that an air craft or a water craft?
|
i've seen better from you, don't be a hdri whore man
PS: i THINK it is HDRI, there ARE other ways to achieve the reflection, but HDRI is easiest and simplest to set up |
WetWired, it's an aircraft in as much as it flies at low to very low altitude.
Randuin, if you cannot think of a constructive comment, keep it shut. HDRI is a quick and EFFECTIVE way of creating highlights for the purprose of seeing the flow and finish of a surface. If you don't fully understand the subject, DON'T TRY AND PREACH IT TO OTHERS. Perhaps now I remember why I hadn't posted here for so long. |
then don't

Seriously randiun, if you have nothing constructive to say, dont bother posting it.
Caclark, it looks very good. FOr some reason it reminds me of a klingon warbird heh. |

Anyway Randuin, what methods would you prefer to see used?
|
I don't care, I've just seen HDRI used way too much on things that shouldn't even be used on. Go around CGTalk and you'll have 3dsmax newbies slapping on HDRI on everything they get their hands on.
PS: There ARE better ways than HDRI, I don't know specifically, because as you stated, I don't know this subject as well as I would like to. |

Anyway, I like the vehicle CAClark. It kind of makes me want to use LW again as I haven't touched it in half of forever. |
