Final Fantasy 11
 

in the june 2002 issue of Game Pro magazine there is an artical about Final Fantasy 11, the target release in the U.S is in 2003 it is meant for net play and says you must have the PS2 broadband adapter to play it, it also says there will most likely be a monthly fee to access your characters. kinda like Ultima Online i guess.

You're gonna have to pay. It sucks, but that's kinda the point of making online games like this. It brings in HEAPS of cash for the developers.

pay=better service in the long run. i'd hate to admit it, but its the best way to go for MMORPGs. I am very dissapointed about the release date, however.

if u have ta pay... im not getting the game... i mean i understand if we have to pay for the modem uses, but for accessing to ur characs to play the game??!?!?!?!? They must out of their minds!!!

Yeah, XBand was an "online" console network for SNES and Genesis quite a few years back, and it had a monthly rate. Consoles aren't exempt from monthly online fees. Everybody wants something for free, but if you want online gaming, it's just gonna cost you. It sucks, but that's capitalism for you.

Well, I vastly prefer Capitalism over Communism. I'd rather have to pay a fee every month to play a damn video game than have no video games at all.

I still think it is a bad idea to have to pay to play games. It's not like the gaming companies aren't geting payed enough. I mean come on. Really.

I'm not working currently. I've worked my ass off the last three summer's saving up money so I didn't have to work during the school year.

When will FFXII be out anyway?
