Level 9 Dueling sockets...
 

I'm getting a set of Sigons for a lvl 9 dueler. Don't know what class I'm going to put it on as I don't know which melee class kicks the most ass at level 9. However, I do want to socket the helm, armor, and shield. I have a 15% ed jewel that I can put in one of the (lvl 9 req), but I don't know where it is best or what else to use. Tell me.

I would probably say the helm or armor.

I recommend an Assassin for a lvl 9 dueler. Gotta love the Tiger Strike goodness. I was planning a level 10 Asn dueler. I could show you the gear sometime if ya want.

sigons is horrible for lvl 9 dueler, WAY to much str req, imo atleast.

I got a -req/ED/Other mod rare jewel in my sigons shield. This was going to be my setup:

Helm: Sigon (ED/Mods Jewel)
Armor: Greyform (ED/Mods Jewel)
Weapon: Rare Ethereal Scissors Katar (ED/Mods Jewel)
Shield: Sigon (ED/-15% Req/Mods Jewel)
Gloves: Death's Hand
Belt: Death's Guard
Boots: Hsarus
Rings: Some +AR rares with LL?
Ammy: Nokozan Relic
Various Charms include: Several +5 Dex and +5 STR GC's and +Life SC's.

Its only 60 str. The armor and helm I believe are 70, but the belts has +10 str on it. Or maybe that's wrong, but something has +10 str on it. Regardless, with a few +str charms, that's fixed.

Heh, my first post here but seem ppl are interested in low lvl duelers and i think i can help out. First off the best & lowest possible dueler is an Assn. There is a guide for it @ diabloii.net (http://www.diabloii.net/strategy/x-g...sn-lvl9pvp.php) anyways, since we're talkin about gears... here's what the gear was suggested @ the site.

Helm: Biggin's Bonnet or 3socket flawed ruby/jeweled mask
Armor: Greyform or 3socket flawed ruby/jeweled breast plate
Belt: Death's Guard
Rings: Two Nagelrings or magic AR+ res/life regen... ll is not possible for this clvl.
Amulet: 20+ AR... clvl9 amy's dont have great mods
Boots: Hsaru's chainboot / Gorefoot Boots(n/r)
Gloves: Bloodfist / Death's Hand (n/r)
Shield: Pelta Lunata
Claw: Blade talon with AR, Damage, or Leech.
about the claw... if u wanna go extreme try to imbue an ethereal claw. once i got an ethereal claw with self-repair + dmg mods! o_O

when you imbue the claw, the extra mods may boost up the lvl requirement.

I have everything but the shield.

Pelta Lunita(sp) is the ONLY good shield for that lvl, imo..

Sigon's has great block, but then, block rate has been nerfed. I haven't PvP'd since patch, so I'm a bit out of it.

Ah, I didn't think about that... heh, yeah pvping is screwed in 1.10, oh well..

well if you want ll and ml how about hand of broc gloves..shrug..

Neither one is worth a shit in PvP
