Does anyone know where i can get a new and good version of steam?

Or if steam even works now that 1.6 is out?
I havent been keeping up with it since i got back into d2. ;)

i did look through the other forums, but it was only the beta dl. The day the 1.6 was released my steam stopped working and i didnt really pay attention why....
