Which characs...?
 

I'm thinking of making an ultimate party using just 4 characs in FF9. Which characs should I focus on? Just 4... the rest, leave them out of it. All you FF9 xperts... which characs were in your ultimate party throughout the game?

Well Zidane is completely necessary (considering he's the main character and physically the most powerful). I always used Dagger (damn good curative magic, best summons), Vivi (spells like Flare REALLY come in handy at the end), and Amarant (he's got a special ability that allows him to auto regenerate himself or anyone else in your party, plus he soaks up damage like a sponge).

You 100% sure? Ppl are saying that i should include Freya(from me lol), Eiko(from gamespot) and Steiner(from Chruser)... Zidane... who wouldnt include Zidane? (well, maybe me)

Okay, I'll do the comparisons. Zidane: no contest, he HAS to be in your party. Vivi versus Freya: Vivi's magic does substantially more damage than Freya's attacks or special abilities. He does get knocked out VERY easily, but being able to do 9999 damage EVERY time you bounce Flare off of a character with the Reflect 2x ability is too good to pass up. Dagger versus Eiko: Well, you need one of the two, simply because a white mage is a necessity. Eiko can shrug off substantially LESS damage than Dagger, Dagger can use Ark (which will do tremendous damage to Necron), and you get Dagger early in the game, so boosting her levels and abilities is a lot easier. Amarant versus Steiner: this is just a personal preference of mine. Amarant's Aura skill comes in handy because is casts Regen and Auto-Life on any character you target it on. Amarant also takes a heap of damage before going down, and his attack power is equal to that of Steiner's. The only advantage Steiner has is that if you use his Shock skill with the Ragnarok equipped it does 9999 damage every time. I prefer Amarant's Aura ability mainly because it provides good insurance in later battles.

just dont use freya :D

Would be Ziden. Since Freya is not as good as previous drangon knight in the previous Final Fantasy series. Don't use it, Dagger for sure. She is go the best Edion. Then would be ViVi since he is the only one who has black mage. leave the 4th blank. Sub in every one if you want!

and Freya isnt IT... its HER... lol
