Who knows... Buy one, send it to me, and I'll tell ya!

J_iceman 2003-10-03 08:55 AM

not bad, its working with rubber crap, not weights. i'll stick with regular weights because with that rubber crap you only work out with what resistance you put into it
example;
prettend when you are bench pressing
~the rubber crap
when you start off ;no pressure/weight
when you are one third there you get one third the pressure/weight
when you are two thirds there, you get two thirds the weight
and when you are all the way up, you get the point
so with that the weight changes

with free weights
when you bench press, the weight stays the same

the old fashion ways is always the best :-P

Depends if you believe television or not.

Adrenachrome 2003-10-03 10:49 AM

A good friend of mine has it, It will help you tone your muscles, but it's not so good at building mass, as far as I've seen..

I can bench 225 on a bowflex, and 275 on free weights, so it's a bit harder. Mainly because each hand is seperate.

The1 2003-10-03 12:32 PM

275 id like to see that adrenachrome you must be ripped.

Hades-Knight 2003-10-03 01:10 PM

no, hes just a big guy.

+ Dont buy bowflex, if youw ant to work out at home just get a couple of free weights (just the ones you pick up for your arms not the actual bench or other stuff) and with those you grab one in each hand, you gat get most upper body muscles with only that, just gotta change positions

platnum 2003-10-03 01:38 PM

they seem to come apart quckly too.

The1 2003-10-03 01:50 PM

I thought The1 said he was 11?

RaZ 2003-10-04 09:35 AM

The thing is bowflex will make your muscles very highly toned.. but it wont make you huge muscle wise if your looking to really build muscle stay with free weights but if your just looking to get toned go with bowflex

D3V 2003-10-04 09:37 AM

I personally like free weights better, but for actually buffing up, you need to use some weights. Free weights, as said before are for toning, ..... but

Who the hell would spend like 1500 on a bowflex??! Thats an outrageous price, its so stupid, just buy a cheap ass car and a membership to a gym for a year for cheaper than that! well maybe not, but still, you know.

undeadzombieguy 2003-10-04 10:21 AM
