Running out of Cowboy Bebop

Normally, I don't like anime, but Cowboy Bebop is an amazing show in a lot of ways. It's ingeniously well-drawn, the music is top-notch, and the storyline is scarily good on top of it. But I've seen it all now, including the movie. If anyone else has watched the show and can think of any good replacement for it, let me know.

Trigun, perhaps.

RoboticSilence 2003-09-25 02:37 PM

Yes, Trigun is very good.

Rurouni Storm 2003-09-25 09:05 PM

I'd also suggest Trigun. It's got the same mix of comedy/drama, but leans a bit more towards comedy.

Sqrl 2003-09-25 09:25 PM

Interestingly enough, Bebop was more or less created around the music, which is why it all meshes so well. =)

As the others said, Trigun would probably be a good one for you to watch. Other then that the stuff I watch really doesn't have a lot to do with guns and such. O_o

Sum Yung Guy 2003-09-25 10:35 PM

from what Ive seen of Trigun (first 14 episodes) it goes from heavy comedy in beggining of series and is going into darker drama the farther I get in... cant wait to see the rest.

Chruser 2003-09-26 07:47 AM

Sounds good to me, I'll give it a shot.

Chruser 2003-09-28 10:01 AM

Okay, I'm almost done watching all episodes of Trigun. Not a bad show at all, it's almost as good as Cowboy Bebop for sure, and I can't wait to watch the last few episodes. So, I'm going to be without good anime again, and I got some recommendations about Noir... Any other suggestions?

uncapped 2003-09-28 02:36 PM

Outlaw Star, perhaps. I've never watched it, but a few people said it was ok.

Chruser 2003-09-28 02:37 PM

Perhaps... Another recommendation is Bubblegum Crisis. And Love Hina. Hrm. I'm a sucker for good storylines.

Sqrl 2003-09-28 06:31 PM

Love Hina for sure. =D

Try "I My Me! Strawberry Eggs" It's got a pretty good story. =)

Grav 2003-09-28 08:26 PM

Naruto. Kazaa it.

Rurouni Storm 2003-09-28 08:26 PM

Avoid Love Hina (the anime) if you want "good" storylines. I found it's basically the same thing over and over.

Hmm, perhaps Full Metal Panic? It's more of a comedy, but the plot and action scenes aren't bad either.

Or. if you want something quite different, try Great Teacher Onizuka. It's a comedy/drama, but also has a great story.

Sum Yung Guy 2003-09-29 10:34 AM

BERSERK!!!!!!!!!!

Rurouni Storm 2003-09-29 11:56 AM

I can't believe I forgot Berserk. Great show that.

Chruser 2003-09-29 02:02 PM

Yeah, I heard a couple of things about Berserk, including that the final episode wasn't finished due to financial cuts. Hrm, maybe I'd go for that.

Besides, thanks again for recommending Trigun, you guys really made me happy... Err, or something like that:

I second that, plus Chruser, I even sent you the first two episodes, now watch the last 48 and wait for the new ones every week like you do for your weekly dose of hentai.

Sum Yung Guy 2003-09-29 05:35 PM

Randuin 2003-09-29 05:37 PM
