Zelaron Emu. Server

Do you think that having a zelaron emulation server (for snes, etc) would be a good idea, or do you think it would be a waste, no one would play.

only on an individual date and time basis. For starters, which games would we play and on what emulator?

HLomegasin 2002-04-08 02:36 PM

ya..there aren't(well...there are some)many good multi-player game for Snes~

GameCube 2002-04-08 04:10 PM

how do u play multiplayer online?

mightychicken 2002-04-09 07:56 AM

many popular SNES emulators (zsnes, for example) have online capabilities, where the second controller could be someone playing over a network. Though i wouldnt want to play a fighting game cuz of the lag, maybe something turn based like kirby's dream course

GameCube 2002-04-09 09:10 PM

that would be sweet

tacoX 2002-04-13 09:02 AM

Dude... Im talking about an oc48 connection, no lag there. And how many people could be online at once ;)

GameCube 2002-04-13 11:05 AM

sounds sweet

Mr.Lee 2002-04-13 11:14 AM

1. OC48 isnt worth wasting on SNES
2. Netcode for ZSNES isnt that good, so no connection can create the kind of stability required to play UMK3, etc

GameCube 2002-04-14 09:13 AM

why isnt worth wasting on snes?

Xenn 2002-04-15 09:36 PM

What about psx? Or n64?

Mr.Lee 2002-04-16 02:36 AM

yeah sure host them too

Chruser 2002-04-16 08:38 AM

It's an OC-48 backbone. It is still shared, or it would cost us a little more than $80.000/month. Either way, we still get a pretty decent amount of bandwidth, since it's a direct connection with AT&T in this case.

Chruser 2002-04-16 08:39 AM

In other words, it is way, WAY more bandwidth than other servers could usually provide.

GameCube 2002-04-16 03:48 PM

how much bandwidth?

HLomegasin 2002-04-16 09:06 PM

probably over 100 bps!

GameCube 2002-04-17 06:53 AM

thats cool

SmoxX 2002-04-17 06:59 AM

... an oc 48 is ... hmm i think about 2.5 gbit/sec
so ita a bit more than 100 bps.. hehe

GameCube 2002-04-17 05:27 PM

thats sweet
