new computer

getting a new computer with:

AMD 2700 XP
512 2700 kingston ram
and Sapphire 9600 pro radeon 128mb

Sovereign 2003-09-13 01:12 PM

Congradulations.

kaos 2003-09-13 01:14 PM

Damn, that sounds sweet, if it only had 1024 ram it'd own.

RoboticSilence 2003-09-13 02:42 PM

512 is good enough unless you are running a server.

Sovereign 2003-09-13 02:46 PM

512 is more then enough! I can run aol, d2:lod, sc:bw and Wc3:tft with it all at once.!

RoboticSilence 2003-09-13 02:49 PM

And why would you ever need to do that? I guess that proves 512 is most definately plenty. I have 512 DDR ( Dance Dance Revolution, no seriously, Double Data Rate ) and I'm perfectly satisfied.

zagggon 2003-09-13 03:16 PM

g4umate

Sovereign 2003-09-13 03:19 PM

Dance Dance revolution is the shit. But yea, i did htat ust to check how much my ram could take before it became impossible for the comp to do anything.

ask_rabber 2003-09-13 10:01 PM

512 may be enough for the majority of games you will play, but will get ate by newcoming ones. Planetside can easily eat 512 ram. I'm not suggesting you go out and by 512 more though, just saying that 512 can be ate, unlike sovereign thinks.

Randuin 2003-09-14 01:59 AM

I hear that new thing project entropia or something can eat ram like cake =\

-=Rico-GP=- 2003-09-14 03:51 AM

for how much?

iceman887 2003-09-14 07:56 AM

dang if planetside can eat ram then just think about all those other games!!! oh well it will be enough for most of the games ill play and im not gonna play planetside anyways

-=Rico-GP=- 2003-09-14 01:31 PM

you still didn't tell me for how much...

iceman887 2003-09-14 03:53 PM

my friend help me overclock it to 2.5 ghz

Sqrl 2003-09-15 12:23 AM

Wow, what a nice friend. Be sure to thank him when you need to take your PC in for anything warranty related. ;)

iceman887 2003-09-15 10:00 PM

well actually i paid him to build it too and i found out overclocking is easy..... lol and i thought it was all hard and stuff

Sqrl 2003-09-15 11:15 PM

It's extremely easy, but voids any and all warranty.
