If I were you I'd learn Japanese if possible. Its not too hard, and is pretty fun to speak. Hell, I know a 10th grader who's learned it...

Randuin is Chinese, I dunno about Mandarin ( probably )... I am hoping to soon start learning Japanese ( once I'm done with German ) within the next few years. I've always been fascinated with Japanese culture and learning the language is the first step for me.

Japanese history and culture always have fascinated me. I'm going there for a month this coming summer for my graduation, so I'm learning some japanese right now to prepare. Seriously, anyone looking for a new/first foreign language to learn, Japanese is a good way to go.

Thats funny ive heard that Chinese is a cakewalk compared to Japanese, Theres different adverbs, pronouns, and suffixes for everything male, female, and animal in Japanese lol. I am really just going for conversational for now then possibly a course for business reasons.

Both can be easy if you're just learning the conversations...

Japanese can be more confusing because of the Katakana, Hiragana and Kanji...

While Chinese is just one word one sound one meaning.

Yeah, Chinese is definitley the easier of the two when it comes to learning the writing aspect. I think Chinese is also easier in terms of learning the spoken part as well, since Japanese has so many different ways to adress people of different stature. Plus in Japanese business talk is like learnign the languge twice since you have to talk so differently as opposed to normal conversing.

I definetly think Japnese is much easier to comprehend, but thats largely in part to the fact that I'm an ANIME GEEK! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....

I wanna learn Japanese too, I've already had some basics learned, but unfortunatly I really have to little time to take Japanese classes or something like that.
fact: Did you know that ppl who speak mandarin languages use 10% more of theyre brains compared to other ppl who dont :wierd:
