Stop the spam!!!
 

I wish to stop the spam in zelaron. I realize that I have been spamming lately and I will stop now. Why? Because of sen. I have the greatest respect for her/him. She/he was the first person to welcome me here and a person who explained things to me. She/he I believe is a valued member of zel. I hate to see her/him leave because of pointless shit that people feel like writting. So I send a plea to zelaron to stop spamming and get more active with important, interesting topics. Thank you.

Of course a complete spam free Zelaron is next to impossible, and is even needed, but only to a certain extent people. Thank you Avara for finally realizing this, and also zagggon has recently apologized and said he would try to shapen up. Honestly, that is all we can ask for really. Try.

Back when I first joined, there were not as many threads being made, but when they were, they were actually either important or interesting. There is no reason why threads like that can't exist once again without the threat of being drug off-topic and spammed to death.

I think that if everyone, a majority of which already do, have a little more respect for the Members, Mods, Sup Mods, and Admins, then this place could thrive more than this. Right now Zelaron may seem like a growing community, but to me it is just a mask that is holding back productivity. We ARE growing, don't get me wrong, but as of now it is because of all this fake posting, spamming, thread hijacking, and ridiculous behavior by a few select members.

Lets restore this place back to it's once more respectable state.

Amen. There is someone with a prob somewhere. Help him. There will always be a need for important stuff. Also a need for things people just want to read because they're so fascinating. So try and cure the diseased zelaron of MASS SPAM. We can do it but only if we're willing. So try.

But honestly, Zelaron is boring. What else do you want people to do here? Not come?

Actually, I no longer care about the threads and the condition in the Chat forum.

Grav did make some good rules about it when he was the moderator,
"- The Chat forum is not the Spam forum. Just because 'anything goes' doesn't mean it should. Stay on-topic."
"- Refrain from posting useless threads. "

But I don't care about Chat forum now. I simply don't visit it.

What I don't understand is...people have a tendency to start semi-interesting threads in Chat forum, just in case they want to spam in it legitimately later on. Now... please don't do that...

Zelaron is boring, that is true at times. But instead of further defiling it, why can't you start something more interesting? I mean, it is not hard to start a thread which is more interesting than oh my knee!

About there is nothing better to do, then yes, you may post whatever the hell you want in the Chat forum. It is pretty much a wasteland anyway, but leave other sections alone.

Chruser once said (back in the old days...) Zelaron prefers quality over quantity. I seriously hope that we can still stand by that now-a-day.

*shrivels up and dies* I don't see why you care so much... Its not like the spam is in every single forum on zel, its on Chat, and maybe Gen. Conv. but whatever, you're the mods, whatever you think is best. But also, you're are the mods, and you're responsible for keeping zelaron interesting.

Its just a little difficult to keep it interesting when we are haivng problems keeping it from being infiltrated by outlandish spam posts constantly.

Wrong. It is their jobs to keep people from going nuts on the forum. It is their job to keep the spam and such to a minimum. It is their job to help.

It is not their job to entertain you.

Maybe someone should PM Chruser that thread... That might open up his eyes again and have him rethink the Chat Forum and some rules...

No, not at all. I even said spam is needed, but not to the extent is it at right now. We just need to try and come up with more creative posts and threads is all. Is it really that hard to put in more than 10 seconds of thought then pressing "Submit Reply"?
