Xenosaga or Dark Cloud 2
I recently have heard of both these games from a friend of mine. He briefly explained both of them to me. I was immediatly struck with a sensation to play them. However, I only have enough money for one of them and I cannot decide. So, what I am asking of you fine people is to help me choose which one to purchase from my local Best Buy.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. |
Xenosaga has relatively more cutscenes, the battle system is more traditional. (Character's turn, Enemies turns, depends on your speed)
Dark Cloud 2 has a fun battle system, making it more like a action rpg. The taking pictures thing is really cool as well. Do your friends have those games? If so you can go over and play for yourself and see which you like better... |
My friend does not own these games. He works at Blockbuster so he rented them for himself. Being the selfish person that he is, he will not do me the favor of renting the games for me. This would not be a problem for him at all consdering he gets 10 rentals a week. Oh well.
Anyway, is the Dark Cloud 2 battle system like Diablo's battle system, in which you just run up to the monster and attack, compared to like Final Fantasy's battle system? |
It is similar to Diablo's battle system, now you mentioned it. It's 3D, and you get to switch characters in battles, and you can have your combos and such.

Sounds interesting. I really enjoy Diablo's Battle System. Although I do enjoy Final Fantasy's battle system, I found it to be quite annoying at times.
I should have added a poll to this thread. Oh well. I guess my decision will be based upon which game receives 5 votes first, since Senesia's posts made me come to a stand still on which I will purchase. |
It's like Zelda's battle system, if you've ever played it. I really liked DC2.

I'd go with Dark Cloud 2. Game's a lot longer as well and you spend more time playing than watching unlike Xenosaga.
Both are pretty good, though. |
Thank you for your insight Rurouni Storm.
