Your Relighion?

I am Catholic. I am proud of this fact. It is not something I regard as a huge honor but I respect it. I believe everyone should stick by their religion as much as possible. I do not aprove of several of Catholic beliefs such as homosexuallity being wrong. What do you believe in?

Titusfied 2003-06-29 09:12 PM

I too am Catholic, but I don't practice regularly. My mom is very religious, and wants me to be more, but I just don't feel as though I have to sit in a church for an hour a week to practice my faith.

I'm a roman catholic. I don't really follow all of it's beliefs, though. Like, I believe there is a god, but I don't believe that he really fiddles with anything in life. He just lets everything be. The only reason I stay Roman Catholic is due to personal reasons.

But anyway, I am an atheist. Before I decided to become one, I considered many religions, asked around, went to various churches, etc, and made an educated decision, not like a lot of these no-brained kids who go around acting all dark and goth just because Mommy used to yell at them a lot when they were young and Daddy drinks a beer or two now and then.

Senesia 2003-06-29 10:21 PM

Protestant.

!King_Amazon! 2003-06-29 10:34 PM

Go senesia! Down with the catholics!

(I'm really not against any certain religion, just felt like cath-bashing)

Oh, Kuja, were you trying to say you are gay?

Hades-Knight 2003-06-30 12:29 AM

Im catholic........but i havent gone to chruch in like 9months and i have not confesed sicne my communion....which was like 6 years ago rofl

Eddie_Perez 2003-06-30 12:31 AM

Thats what I thought the second I read that sentence... Anyways, I do believe in god, but like uncapped I dont believe he performs miracles or anything like that. I mostly believe because what happens after death is unknown.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I also don't believe that confessions will get you anywhere ;)

Silverjinx18 2003-06-30 12:33 AM

Are these realy religions? It's an honest question...like I thought religions were Christian, Jewish, Muslum, ect.
anyway I'm a Missionary Baptist :)

Hades-Knight 2003-06-30 12:42 AM

You do missions? omg ur l337

Eddie_Perez 2003-06-30 12:47 AM

Shhhh, you'll blow her cover! :wierd:

Silverjinx18 2003-06-30 11:37 AM

We don't do missions :) We send our offerings to missionaries and some of them come to us to see if we want to help out more then we have...only some of it goes to our church and our preacher.

!King_Amazon! 2003-06-30 11:54 AM

Yeah, that's BS.

I don't even go to church anymore.

Silverjinx18 2003-06-30 12:00 PM

what's BS?

Jamesadin 2003-06-30 12:06 PM

United. (protestant)

!King_Amazon! 2003-06-30 12:17 PM

It's BS that they say that all the offering money is going to people in africa and stuff, when actually it just goes to the preacher.

Adrenachrome 2003-06-30 12:45 PM

Athiest. I don't feel the need to cling to something greater than I for survival.

Raziel 2003-06-30 08:39 PM

Non-denominational Christian. I wouldn't consider having religious beliefs to be an act of desperation (like Adrena is implying). I just don't like the idea that all of human history was an accident.

NonGayMan 2003-06-30 09:40 PM

Roman Catholic. I haven't gone to church for a while, though. =/
