C&C: Red Alert
How gay is this shit. I went home for Mother's Day last weekend and as I was going through my old shit, I found C&C: Red Alert, with Counterstrike and the Aftermath (The Domination Pack). Well, I figured, shit yeah, I'm taking this back to my place and I'm gonna start playing it.
Well, of course, it is only compatible with WIndows 95, so it says, and won't let me run it on XP. Wouldn't you think that Microsoft would update all their new OS's to work in conjunction with the older versions? Its pretty damn beat in my opinion... |
You can run C&C Red Alert on XP. Why it dont run because XP is actually WinNt.
Anyway here is solution Press Start -> Run: hcp://system/compatctr/compatmode.htm |
We always get these complaintss about windows XP and games don't working.
They dont know how to get it working ;).
I haven't tried it yet. From the other responses, it doesn't appear as if it will work. Damn Microsoft!!!
Huh? It works perfectly for me.
Try that and choose the cd as the source. |
Maybe theres a virus going around for XP.
Thank you Mr. Lee, that was genious, and now that I've finally attempted it, it worked great. :)
Thanks again. |
The game sucks. I cant get over the little blocks running around.
Red Alert doesn't suck, as least not when it came out.
Damnit, I spoke too soon. Now it can't find a file from some library or something... Oh well, thanks anyway. Close, but not quite there... DOH!! :(

Red alert had awsome graphics when it came out.
Frogger had better graphics than red alert.
Which Frogger game are you talking about?
Couldn't possibly be the Atari version, unless that was a terrible attempt to be funny and clever at the same time...
