new guy so..i thought i'll introduce myself
 

srry to butt in guys..don't even know if here is where i should write this(new to forums and havn't read the faq yet) i'm also new to maya and actualy new is too much said i have no ideea where to begin would the video tuts help? should i stop? neeh^_^ i was wondering if u guys could help me find some tutorials for smoane realy new to maya and to 3d modeling concept. i study architecture so i began learning autocad and archicad.. i guess i'd love to take the next step and learn a little may :)

I suggest you sign up at 3dbuzz.com and download the MAYA video tutorials. I can't say I've checked them out completely as I'm a LightWave person, but the ones I watched seemed really good. :)
