3/20/20's....

What are your resistances? Maybe Resist charms if its low.

Other than that, I guess just 20 Life Charms with a second mod...

undeadzombieguy 2003-02-05 01:57 PM

no fhr or frw ?
and res isnt really needed because i dont duel sorcs

Titusfied 2003-02-05 01:59 PM

Well, definitely Faster Run/Walk, but only if you have room should you put Hit Recovery, IMO. You should be all life, run/walk, and dmg!

undeadzombieguy 2003-02-05 02:10 PM

wow quick response :D
i was thinking 25-30 3/20/20 and 10-15 frw
kinda depends who im dueling when its a pala or java its gonna be all life charms i think. with 25 of them i have around 3200 life without spirit.

Apoq 2003-02-05 02:32 PM

damn shush titus....

no you do NOT need r/w and no you do NOT need resists

and no you do NOT need 30 duped charms

use atleast 18% fhr as far as rings you dont need cannot be frozen use 2x 11% ll rings with +ar/hp/stats

use highlords (alot more damage)

use 6%ll gloves with +stats/hp/crushing blow

undeadzombieguy 2003-02-06 01:36 AM

but if i dont have any frw and no cannot be frozen
how can i ever catch a zon ?

Titusfied 2003-02-06 05:54 AM

Well, sorry Apoq, God of PvP, I guess others opinions don't matter.. :(

I've actually never dueled with a Druid, but almost seems like common sense that he should have to have Faster Run/Walk to even get a chance to catch the person to use all that LL they have on.... Orb would prevent them from EVER catching any character without Cannot Be Frozen....

If you used that setup with no Resists or Faster Run/Walk on a Druid that can be slowed by Cold attacks, I can GUARANTEE you will NEVER beat a somewhat decent Sorc that doesn't just let you walk up to them and attack...

Please, if I'm wrong, inform me of your strategy....

Apoq 2003-02-06 01:20 PM

well you will want different gear for dueling different classes, most melee druids are just v melee, i can gear mines up for otherwise but i focus on melee

if you are a 4 frame attack your ias isn't slow by cold damage, if you DO duel missle characters that deal cold damage you may want a ravenfrost/08 hellmouth/cham

kickyanads 2003-02-07 06:20 PM

apoq, you still never answered the original question of what charms to use...what would be best?

Apoq 2003-02-07 09:52 PM

for melee v melee,

small/large/grand sharp charms of strength/balance

smoking small/large charms of strength/vitality/balance

fine small charms of incineration

fine small charms of winter

fine small charms of craftmanship

sharp large charms of quality

sharp grand charm of maiming

I hear that fire dmg kind of puts the person in stun mode is this true? is this why people have so much fire dmg charms? would 1 poison charm help in mellee duels as it gives ppl negative leech and would this be considered cheap?

kickyanads 2003-02-09 08:21 AM

fire=stun...the psn thing im not sure if people would call it "cheap" but it would be okay by me :D

Apoq 2003-02-09 06:43 PM

kick, incorrect

poison doesn't stop leech it just lowers what people can gain back...

fire damage doesn't 'stun' it just lags the enemies video card, because the sprite images are hard to produce-

diablo2 was made with an outdated graphics engine and if you use a voodo3300 your fps would actually be aLOT higher-newer graphic cards don't mainly support 3dfx anymore
