Cubing cryptic
 

Hey how long do you guys think it would take to cube a Cruel Cryptic sword? and is there a certain level I should be for best results?

What do you mean How long would it take?

I think he means gathering the resources needed to make one?

I mean how many times would you have to roll the cruel from the cube... like what are the chances?

nah u would need a good 200-500 chips it all depends and it is pure luck, char lvl has no effect on success rate/ percentage of enhanced dmg...

I have done 200 so far.. nothin yet... so level makes no diff I could cube it with my lvl 1 mule?

Correct, I do all my crafting with a low level barb mule, It took about 300 tries to get a cruel scourge. I mostly roll charms now, got a 7% mf small on about the 30th try and a real nice 100 psn 6% mf small on about the 50th try. I have had very little success with jewels.

It is pure luck dude. Heres a perfect example:

Very first try chipping a mythical sword i got a 233% of quickness. I cubed a conquest used more than 300 chips and never got more than ferocious. Its all luck.

Got a cruel... 261 ed with self repair mod.. keeping it but rolling a new one

ok, well i never got into the whole chips thing. can someone explain what you can get and the actual recipes or whatever?

you put three chipped in the cube with your sword of choice and pray for cruel...of quickness

damn I must have cubed 1000 chipped today and nothing... I got 2 cruel yesterday for less than half that.. it is pure luck

You put three perfs of any type with a jewel or charm to re-roll it. You must use a jewel/charm dropped by a high TC class to make it worthwhile.

Can you do charms by putting just 3 charms in and re-rolling it, because someone told me that worked.

Nope only the 3 p gems and a charm.

3 blue rings = 1 ammy
3 blue ammys = 1 blue ring..

And it's the same for jewels?

+ 1 sword (any)

The sword will become magical, with 3 sockets. Cruel is only possible with 6 elite swords, Conquest, Cryptic, Mythical, Champion, Col Sword, Col Blade.

Just in case you decide to try and craft yourself a cruel balrog blade this will save you time on the swords you can get to be cruel with the 3 CGC method of rolling items.

You guys sure your level doesnt matter? I have cubed like 2000 chipped since my last cruel from my lvl 96 using my 87 and havnt got 1 ? I got 2 with less than this

Only the d2 programmers know or sure. I always use my lvl 99 mules to craft.
