I heard in one of the channels that they're also going to delete many pre patch items and alot of soj's. But those are rumors u know.

I wish them good luck on deleting items that do not have item ID#'s and therefore they cant see them in the game code.

I second that. Blizzard trying to make us selling iths and other bugged stuff.

If they have no ID#'s then how do they show up in the game? Wouldn't they have to have some kind of ID, like a weird one that wasn't programmed into the game?( Just a question, no flames please )

And yes, I would have to agree that blizzard is just trying to scare people, just like they are trying to do with the bots/maphack thing. Just them trying to knock people out without having any proof of actually doing anything, to anyone. But eah. :)

no runewords dont have ID's, ID # are used for dupe checking, and not needed for use.

Theres rumors that all items are being given ID Numbers created 1.10 on. (If it ever comes out)

It has been this way since 08....

Actually ALL items do have ID, there are even 2 ID's, one for the game it self ( so you can sell it :p for instance ) and 1 for dupescanner.

Because runewords mostly made in white items, and the dupe scanner does scan white items. Which make them safe... for now.

you guys do know that there will be

.09 regular
.10 regular - can play with regular .09 people
.10 ladder - can only be on ladder if .10 ladder character, that means you dont play with .09 which means you cant use .09 and earlier items.

of course this is all said suposing .10 is coming out.

They can delete all the iths and occy rings and such, but of course it would take 10 times longer to perform a scan of item mods than just an item id scan...

If they performed one of these scans, the blizzard server would be down for 5 days...and i dont think many people would be happy with that...

I dont think the iths are going anywhere.... blizzard likes it I think cuz it gives all the high lvl n00bs out there something to shoot for... keeps em seeing thier adds etc..
