What are you watching?

Streaming or otherwise:

I'm binging Modern Family, but have been religiously watching Wanda Vision. I'm excited for the finale this Friday. I also got my husband into The Mandalorian and rewatching that with him. I also watch Rick and Morty on my down time and Impractical Jokers on Thursdays.

What do you guys find time to watch? I need suggestions :D

Since pandemic, tons of djs have moved to being on twitch and just stream mixing all day long, it's pretty awesome!

Two favorites:
DJ NixInTheMix
Seductive Mango

I'm not really into Twitch these days #oldladyhere though Seductive Mango sounds my speed, ha!

I am currently watching Critical Role (twitch D&D stream). The fifth season of The Expanse just ended, which is the best thing in scifi in a long time; this hard sci-fi show bucks the tropes. I am up-to-date on Hanna, a show about a Romanian super-soldier trying to take down the US government secret project that created her. Beyond that, I just binged the first season of The White Princess, a historical fiction that follows Elizabeth York as she is wed to the first Tudor king of England and navigates the intrigue of those troubled times.

I could never get into Star Trek TV series, but we started Picard and I liked that.

I wanted to get into X-Files when I was a kid, but aliens scare me o_O

Given the quality of movies and TV we have today, and given the fact that we've all matured since the nineties, I guarantee X-files is a lot less scary today than it was back then.

Silverjinx18 2021-03-04 02:54 PM

You underestimate my fear of aliens

Demosthenes 2021-03-07 12:05 PM

We watched The Fourth Kind not that long ago, and I agree that they can be scary.

We watched Coming 2 America last night and it held up. It wasn't as cheese as I thought it would be. It was pretty equal to the first.

The original is an all time classic. It has several of the funniest scenes of any movie of all time:

The sequel didn't quite live up to that.

Nevertheless, I thought it was enjoyable in its own right. I was worried about it tarnishing the legacy of the original, and it did not.

Currently on my 2nd run of Breaking Bad (haven't watched it since it ended a while back, 7 yrs?) It's nice watching a good show again having forgot most of the details.

Silverjinx18 2021-03-08 07:34 PM

Kaos did you watch the movie on Netflix? The one where Jessie is the main character? I didn't, mostly because I wanted it to die with Breaking Bad. Like I didn't want to ruin a perfect image. Just curious what you thought if you did see it.

kaos 2021-03-09 04:57 PM

After putting it off for a really long time, I actually did finally end up watching it this year. I can tell you it's actually a really good extension of the show that doesn't add to Walt's ending but more focused on Jessie and where his story finally ends. I'd say it's worth the watch.

I agree with that, I felt like it ended very well and didn't really need anything after. Same reason I haven't seen Better Call Saul.

I watched a couple episodes of BCS. I love the actor that plays Saul, but I couldn't get into it. I am curious about the movie though.
