good rock bands? Nickleback is pretty good, but its Canadian.

Nickleback is a good band, I like LIT, and Sum 41(another canadian band) also.

Faith No More, Pantera, Anthrax, Iced Earth, Nevermore, Iron Maiden, Type O Negative, and the god of all that is rock: ALICE COOPER.

Sum41 is one of those talented band that will only come around once in a lifetime. and yeah, Metallica is also pretty good. in fact, once of my farvorite songs of all time is Enter Sandman.

"Enter Sandman" seems to be everyone's favorite Metallica song. I prefer "Leper Messiah."

Im going to give u the BEST retro band in the world... WEEZER.. its retro now.. but it wasnt before ofcourse but they still the best.. they play good rock... great songs and evrything in between, i suggest u all try it out.

actually, know what? U2 would fit under that catergory way better then Weezer can. U2 is like the God of all rock music. plus they do good charity work all the time.

they have been around since like the 80's, and they play good alternative and exellent rock music.

Dont worry, Strider is a Canadian too, he was just meaning that some people wouldnt know it or hear much of it becuse its Canadian.

sum41 isnt talented onceu hear the talent of dream theater you dont no talent... and everyones favorite metallica song seems to be enter sandman ..... thats becuase it was played on the radio so much... i prefer For Whom The Bell Tolls, Fade To Black, and The Call Of Ktulu <------great instrumental
