Wind
 

The edge comes ever closer, bringing with it light, and sheer darkness.
My feet run against the ground, splashing the memories within these bones.
The edge comes ever closer, showing its destruction, and peer joy of freedom.
The desaturated clouds show my heart, the glowing clouds reveal my freedom.
The wind blows a soft breeze at my face, making my fears float away.
Inside myself, I feel warmed, and yet humble with my own spirit.
I am not alone, and the edge which has been overcome with blackness looms ever farther.
For I am walking back, my feet no longer shifting the sand below me.
I am floating, with my fears no part of me.
But on my face, the wind is still blowing, ever so softly.



I just felt like writing, so I did. :)

When I read the topic I thought it was going to be a post about actual wind.
Here in Reno, NV, we are having the second worst storm ever coming. While driving home today we went through a small dust hurricane. And many waves of dust storms on the highway.
People's motorcycles are all tipped over, there's thunder and rain / snow / hail coming. And some of the billboards here have been stripped due to the dust hitting it hard.
Last time we had winds like this, our roof blew off and the neighbors stone / rock roof blew off right onto our fucking car. :(

Err, anyway... The poem is cool, except I think you tried to hard at irony. Then again, I'm not a poet... So... What do I know.

I like it...I write alot of poems and i enjoy doing it...Its the only way i can express my feelings indirectly and people understand them.
