Main forums screen user bug
 

Earlier I discovered that on the main screen at the top (shown in the pic), I am -=Prime=-, which I'm not.

Is this a bug that anyone else is getting?? I appear to be logged on as two users on the same computer, which I'm not. It's weird.

perhaps you have the log in next time you visit feature on. have you tried the 'log out' button yet?

I log out and it still says I'm -=Prime=-.

This is fucking gay.

I can't log out either, I think it's a bug.

*moved and I am getting a bug that about every 30 mins of surfing zel I.e. closes itself just started today

Could be a virus.. my dads comp had that same problem... but there was other weird shit that happened also... like icons moving by themselves, and the sort.

I just scanned it. No viruses found.

I just wish i could use my normal account. :(

Aren't you -=Prime=- ?

There's normally no reason to log out, but if vBulletin absolutely wouldn't let you out, delete the cookie.

lol wtf i have never seen this -=PRIME=- account b4...heh looks like you just created it right? or no? or you created it then it got stuck to that account?

Here is what happened:

When I first joined Zel the other day, I registered as -[prime]-. Everything was nice and peachy before I looked at the top of the forums main page and saw what is in that pic (first post). After I created this thread, I WAS -=Prime=-, without any choice.-=Prime=- was one of my first accounts on a forum, and it's weird on how it has retreived it. I didn't create a new account. Zel forced me to use this. I am -=Prime=- no matter if I'm logged in or out.

Maybe but I think it might just be my tempramental Comp it's not doing it today... (that was the only prob I had no others)

I dont know why you would want 2 accounts anyways.

I don't WANT 2 accounts. I want my previously removed -[prime]- one back. Zel made me use this without me having to do anything. Do I WANT to use this account? Hell no. I can't register as -[prime]- again because it already exists.

Can someone fucking fix this!?!?

I didn't have multiple accounts until zel made me use my old one without any choice yesterday.

Have you tried clearing cookies?

You had -=Prime=- on a different forum? What forum was it? Was it running Vbulletin?

It was never exactly -=Prime=-, it was always something close, like -=PeK=-. I was once that on UGC about 4 months ago before I re-registered and changed my name. And yes, they are Vbulletin. It's just weird on how it made me use it out of the blue.

WetWired: I already did, but let me try again...

[edit]: nope. Still says I'm logged in as -=Prime=-, even if I log out. It's like it's messed with the guest code or something.

it had me logged out everytime i reinstall windows... try closing IE... go into control panels... get rid of history and temp internet files... if you REALLY want to change that bad... reinstall windows... haha :)

Hmm, I have no idea what causes this, but I agree that it is annoying. Now that I think of this, on the vB admin demo, I could never logout of admin account to log in/register a user for testing. I really don't know what causes this, and I'm afraid I can't do a thing about it. I could change the name on your current account, if it's just the name that you're upset about.

So you can't switch me over to the -[prime]- account (the one I registered here as) and remove THIS account?

If we remove the account, we have a bunch of unowned posts hanging about...perhaps talk to Chruser.

Ok.. I talked to Crusher on AIM earlier and he said he said he could see what he could do.
