Anybody else sick?

It seems like i've had the flu, or some sort of strain similar to the flu for the past two weeks or so, and everyone else around me has it as well. School, work, home, buddies. It doesn't matter who, it's so lame.

On top of being sick, no medicine I have taken thus far has even put an impact on this devious little sickness.

Bllaaaahhhhhh.

talentedhamster 2008-12-04 02:59 PM

i've been sick for a whileeee. ive had a sinus infection and a lymph node infection. maybe you got one of those? i know theres alot of sinus infextions going around.

KagomJack 2008-12-04 03:10 PM

Not sick, but I've had a headache since last night.

Chruser 2008-12-04 03:17 PM

I have a cold. I've had two colds prior to this one in the past five years. Other than that, I haven't been ill. I haven't used any medications either.

Wallow 2008-12-04 03:35 PM

I had a real minor cold yesterday, causing me to be oddly exhausted for the later part of the day. I played video games most of the day because I could not whip up the energy to do homework.

I would say that it is a sinus infection, but i've had a cough, and a bunch of goobers floating around my body along with my illness, and my cough. Erg. Also, my lymphies aren't swollen as far as I can tell from feeling them, which is a plus.

jamer123 2008-12-04 04:09 PM

you had what i had and it sucks esp when one of you meds didnt work roght you mostly need an antibiodic if you do have a docter go to him dev its needed my sinus infection setted in my lungs and it sucked and im still feeling it

D3V 2008-12-04 04:24 PM

Thanks bud, at this point i'm still going to just try and ride it out. I'm not a big fan of medicine as I feel our bodies antibodies are good enough about 99% of the time to cure most illnesses; however, if it keeps up for another week or so I'll venture down that route.

Grav 2008-12-04 04:55 PM

Not sure if I'm sick, but I've got a case of the blahs.

HandOfHeaven 2008-12-04 06:25 PM

I just got over a cold, but I think this girl I've been hanging out with gave me hers. I've felt like shit all day. It's probably that time of year.

Asamin 2008-12-04 07:23 PM

Am I the only one here who isn't getting sick. I am fine and Have been and will be. But in February I will most likely get pneumonia.

talentedhamster 2008-12-04 09:00 PM

at least get some nyquil/dayquil to stop being miserable

Jessifer 2008-12-04 10:31 PM

I was sick last week, but that's only because I was menstruating. I always get a cold or something before or during my period.

Xenn 2008-12-05 03:22 AM

I'm sick with a cold.. got it from my pseudo-roommate I think. It annoys me cause in college I've only been getting sick once every 10 school weeks or so (so around 3 times a year). High school was like, 7 or 8 colds per academic year.

D3V 2008-12-05 07:36 AM

Well my fever is completey gone, but my coughs are back, yet again. BLARGH!

That is just so delightful to hear! Thank you for sharing this information.

And yes I'm sick. My throat is killing me. Fuck illnesses.

Grav 2008-12-05 09:03 AM

This probably sounds stupid, but I'm too busy to get sick.

I'm just preparing you for when you have a wife and daughter(s).

skeptiskt 2008-12-05 04:52 PM

Yes, several times this early winter. I think I am allergic. My skin is ichy and extremely dry and I feel ill all the time. It bothers me that I have to take my medication every day.

talentedhamster 2008-12-05 06:29 PM

you get sick before that? damn that sucksss =[

Jessifer 2008-12-05 06:42 PM

A little sniffle and a cough isn't so bad. It's never too severe.

jamer123 2008-12-05 06:43 PM

ive had sever before and sucked

D3V 2008-12-07 03:44 PM

Mine is still progressively getting a bit worse, and lingering like a bitch. I think I might actually have bronchidis or something..maybe it's time to go to he doctor.

talentedhamster 2008-12-07 05:30 PM

thats probably a good idea

Wallow 2008-12-07 07:51 PM

Dangit, I just caught another cold

D3V 2008-12-08 04:01 PM

Heh, I stayed home from work today. Took some Mucinex (sp?) this morning, and can't really tell or not if the effects are positive or not as I still have a couch. Ugh.

heh, did the ad get to you?

Jessifer 2008-12-09 01:07 PM

Last I knew Mucinex only helped to break up mucus, not to actually prevent coughing.

D3V 2008-12-09 01:48 PM

Why do you cough? That's right! Because you have mucus in your system and the involuntary reflex is to cough to get it out.

Jessifer 2008-12-09 01:49 PM

Not always.

D3V 2008-12-09 01:50 PM

I still love you jess. But in my case, it feels like there is something in my throat so I try and cough harder and don't even try to stop it always. It's a bitch.

Jessifer 2008-12-09 02:26 PM

Well, if it's any consolation, I've had the sensation that there's a wad of mucus in a spot I can't cough up between my throat and nose for a few days and it's becoming increasingly bothersome.

And I love you too, Dev.

D3V 2008-12-09 02:40 PM

That's my exact situation. Eckk. I wish I had a DS with some Chrono Trigger so that taking off work would be a little easier.

Jessifer 2008-12-09 03:53 PM

Chrono Trigger makes everything better. <3
