I can't fucking post
I'm an example of one of the people that your policy of having to approve posts for newbies is going to drive away real soon.
|
I've been accused of imposterizing, and I can't fucking post. And I wanted to say that the sun does not revolve around the earth from any perspective you geocentric bastards. The earth is also flat, ain't it!!
|
And good on toast, too.

You're fired, now I have the money to pay him more.
|
Wait, don't do that, I think we can work something out.
|
Too late. Time to search the want-adds for dog-walking positions.

Welcome to Zelaron!!

I thought so.
Anyway, back to the topic at hand. Welcome to the forum! |

On a side note: when debating something, be prepared to offer more than an insult in your argument. Debates get pretty heated here, as we usually have someone argue just for the sake of arguing. Just a heads up. And welcome to Zelaron! |

GG no re nub. |
I'm sorry, but I "PHAIL" to see what your post is pointing out. It didn't prove me wrong in any sense.
Take a look at this... This is the perfect example. You can clearly see the disk spinning and the cannon balls are flying straight. BUT! When you move to the disk's perspective, you see that the cannon balls are curving, for what seems to be an unknown reason, because you percieve the disk as stationary. Just the same as for many years, people believed that the sun rotated around Earth. Quote:
Perception is a major part in how we think. Someone who is colorblind may perceive the sky as orange, when others perceive it as blue. Quote:
|
*sigh*
Clearly the disks frame of reference is not an inertial frame of reference. You may only say that something rotates around the other in an inertial frame of reference. Basic, basic relativity. I'm pretty sure I stated that above. |
It CAN be a frame of reference if you don't know of the area outside of the disk. If the disk is the only space you know, there is no way to test another frame of reference.

I was never trying to "disprove" anything other than different perspectives can reach different results! In which case my point is proven. I'm not saying that Earth is the center of the universe or anything.
|
Jesus Christ, that perspective is not a proper perspective. It's an accelerated frame of reference. How a 22-year old can have such a flawed misunderstanding of basic physics is beyond me.
|
Do you read my whole post, or just see that I posted and assume that I am spewing non-sense?

You realize from the perspective that you advocate the laws of physics PHAIL to hold, right? Also, the view that the Earth revolves around the sun has to do with the planet's spin. Even if the sun revolved around the earth, you don't actually think it does it once a day, do you? Jesus Christ, has our education system failed that bad?
|
Apparently you don't understand perception very well...
I am not going to continue and argue a point that I know is false, because I don't know how else to defend it. I was just stating that obviously we didn't always think that Earth revolves around the sun. |

I like this new addition. :)
Stay and entertain Jess! Oh, and welcome to the good ship Zelaron. :D |
Whats inertia?
|
Inertia is the tendency of a body to continue moving in its present direction at its present speed
|
Interesting introduction...
Welcome! |
I love this thread.
|
Keep your shirt on, it's only an introductory thread lol
|
Welcome to Zelaron.
