I hate the government.

For many reasons. The main reason I hate it, which has directly affected me, is that they are greedy, money-hungry sons of bitches.

Case in point:

- I get charged with posession of 2 grams of marijuana (a harmless plant that has been growing in the ground since the beginning of time) resulting in at least $3,500 out of my own pocket, most of it sent to the court/court-affiliated programs. Remember, this is $3,500 JUST FROM ME ALONE. 800,000 non-violent human beings are arrested EACH YEAR for marijuana posession. 800,000 people x $3,500 per case is 28 billion dollars. No, not each case results in $3,500 in fees, I'm just estimating.

Top that off with the money you taxpayers pay to keep prisons maintained so they can house non-violent drug offenders for YEARS. And for what? MONEY BABY.

- This morning on my way to work I am caught speeding. So fucking sue me. Oh, and guess what else? My plates expired a month ago. This is costing me a total of $225. TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS TAKEN FROM A POOR BACHELOR WHO WORKS HARD FOR HIS FUCKING MONEY. Please explain to me how 12 mph over the speed limit and expired plates = $225? How in the FUCK does that equal up? And get this! As I'm pulled over, the cop that is writing me 2 tickets flags some other speeder over and starts to write her a ticket as I'm driving off.

I just seriously hate how our country is run by greed and money. Fuck this place.

Holy shit man I would have been fucked for sure the other day I got pulled over with a scale and an ounce in the car, and they searched it but they couldnt find it because I hid it in one of the middle panels. I think they should change the law, that is bullshit what happend to thanatos, and I think we need to bring our soldiers home from war so I selected no. I think the charge for possession here is alot lower but it still sucks nads getting caught.

Or you could just give up marijuana and live a normal life.
Too bad I'm suggesting the impossible

You are severely misinformed when it comes to this topic. Please educate yourself and not believe everything the government tells you.

The government does not control us health specialists so shove it up your ass and go back to your mobile home you call the mystery machine Shaggy.

We are NOT going to lie about what smoke inhalation does to other people. They now have the right to sue you for harrassment or assault if you smoke around them now. Your welcome.

I think that with cops actually doing their job for once someone would be happy. You bitched and complained about how they didn't do shit and now you complain when they actually do something. Typical american.

Why speed? Half the time the people we see speeding pass us up. 10 seconds later we are right behind them because the light was red. Obey traffic laws because violating them gets you nothing. Sure it feels good to look and act outside the law like a hippy. But in the end you will get caught.

If drivers would look in the fucking mirrors they would see themselves as the problem to all these damn accidents. You guys don't know how to drive so stay away from a car. You telling me you are going to try and make a carbon nanotube from scratch even though you don't know how? No.

The fact is you are one of those self righteous hippies who thinks they know it all because they went to college for a few months even though you failed. Chances are you are also one of the ones who thinks humans are better at everything under the influence of drugs. You probably act superior because you do drugs because in your mind you have to somehow justify what you know is wrong. Furthermore you bring up MJ because you know it's the only drug that you can get kudos for doing. How about that heroin you use? You probably didn't even get a High School diploma because the work was too hard for you and you have the audacity to tell someone else to educate themselves? Last time I checked credentials were needed to make your opinion worth anything Shaggy. Come back after you get and education. Then we can talk. Until then you are like a kid. What you want does not matter.

Fucking idiot thinks the government controls every little thing. God damn moron. For the record no I don't like the way the government works. I think they should be harder on those that break the law.

EDIT: By that I mean they should gather up all those who murder, rape, or commit terrible crimes, and shoot them in public. Behind an electric fence with one entrance gaurded by a tank so fucking hippies like you get shot trying to do shit about it.

What the fuck are you talking about? I don't smoke cigs and the only time I smoke marijuana is in the privacy of my own home, not in public, and I can do whatever the hell I want in my own house.

What the fuck are you talking about? Since when was I bitching and complaining about cops not doing their job? You have me confused with someone else because you're fucking delusional. And I am the furthest thing from a typical American. Your assumptions make me laugh.

I was running late to work. I wasn't harming anyone, nor was I being an aggressive driver. I was in the right lane just cruising along. I have never once been in a car accident and I have a perfect driving record. So shut the fuck up.

Again, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? This seems like a pretty fitting motto in reply to your posts. I read your whole post and the first thing that came to my mind was, Is this guy serious? What the fuck did he just say? I don't even think you believe the gibberish that comes out of your mouth. Seriously, you're clinically insane. Don't skip out on your meds, dude, they'll do more damage then you know. How many pills do they have you on now?

I'm a hippy because I smoke marijuana? Why don't you think before you speak, punk, because you are clearly speaking out of your ass. It smells in here now. Somebody clean that shit up.

1. I have never done heroin, nor will I ever. The only "drug" I partake in is marijuana, which is decriminalized/legal in some states/countries.

2. Drugs do not make you superior to anything. This is my personal choice. I don't promote it in any way. I do not try to get people to smoke. I simply use it in my recreational, private time because I like it. Fuck off.

3. I was telling Wallow to educate himself as he has recently shown that he gets his opinions from his parents and any other authoritative figure. You didn't need to chime in with all your retarded assumptions. It just makes you look incredibly stupid. Which is pretty hard since half of the member-base thinks you're crazy anyway.

If that doesn't tip people off that you are in fact insane, I don't know what will.

WetWired 2008-07-31 12:19 PM

Only $225 for speeding AND expired plates? That shit'd be like $400 here.

Slim 2008-07-31 12:23 PM

I'm not exactly a fan of the current direction right now, though it's for other reasons.

The Patriot Act being first and foremost on the list. So much for a right to privacy, eh?

Thanatos: It's nearing the end of the month, gotta fill that ticket quota. I had a guy write me one for going 60 in a 55, shit sucks but there's little you can do about it most of the time. I ended up fighting it and getting out since I was passing a vehicle.

Agreed.

5 over is okay, 10 over is pushing it. 10 over is what generous cops will allow you. 5 over any cops will allow unless you're on an army base or they're having a bad day. 12 is just asking for a ticket.

Thanatos 2008-07-31 01:34 PM

I understand that speeding is not a very smart risk to take, but does that minor infraction equal $225? Fuck no it doesn't. That's my whole point of this thread. Money rules everything and corrupts everyone. Fuck that.

-Spector- 2008-07-31 01:57 PM

Like slim said, it's the end of the month. The last 10 days I'm always more careful and on the lookout. And especially the last 5 days of the month, then they really start crackin down.

sheerx 2008-07-31 10:07 PM

Ever consider emigrating as a solution to your problem? because the bottom line is that you can attempt to change the current state of affairs or leave.

KagomJack 2008-07-31 10:16 PM

Pot doesn't have many negative effects on society, only what is implied to be had. Pot never has and never will rule my life.

Xenn 2008-08-01 04:24 AM

I find it ironic (and somewhat infuriorating) that the same people who cry and moan when someone tries to take away their guns--even when it's only a ban in national parks or the like--are the ones who adamantly oppose letting people practice an alternative (and less destructive) method for recreation in marijuana use. It's even more ridiculous when you consider that the majority of Americans support at least a decriminalization of marijuana use.

Man I hope democrats get a fillibuster proof majority in the senate, and a good majority in the house too.

Yes, I have. I hope to be out of this country by 30 at the latest.

-Spector- 2008-08-01 01:54 PM

Where you gonna move? Amsterdam? ^_^

HandOfHeaven 2008-08-01 03:00 PM

Notice that jamer123 voted for the third option. I highly doubt it's a joke.

-Spector- 2008-08-01 04:30 PM

I noticed that also and laughed a bit.

KagomJack 2008-08-01 10:20 PM

I have offers to get sponsorship for citizenship in Canada.

quikspy67 2008-08-03 02:34 AM

Woo1 jamer123.

KagomJack 2008-08-03 07:42 PM

What's that have to do with what I said?

Draco2003 2008-08-03 11:53 PM

I think he was making fun of jamer, which I assume was making fun of wallow, by voting, "I don't care, I don't make my own decisions" or something or other.

As far as the goverment goes, the only problem is, Americans are too afraid to do anything about it. Nowadays, we are afraid of our government because they can make people vanish as though they never existed. This, coupled with the selfish thought that everyone needs to only look out for themselves, and you have the weak willed, weak minded, and just plain weak American. If you look into the past, and you see that when we formed this nation, it was to break away from a government that tried to control us with fear. Everyone wants to talk about, "Oh, my fellow American blah blah blah..." yet, if they had the chance to save a whole city on the other side of the United States, or secure thier own wealth, they would secure their own wealth. To be an American in this day and age, seems to be less about your freedom, and more about your money.

Everyone wants to talk about what America needs, but once the solution is found, no one wants to lift a finger to do the solution. What do you guys think would have happened if we didn't win our independence? Do you think everyone would have just been able to go back to thier jobs as though nothing was wrong? No. They would have been put to death for treason. But they didn't care about their own well being, just as long as America still stood after their death. This generation of Americans doesn't understand patriotism. They don't understand why we have this freedom that we do, nor do they want to do anything to defend it. Don't get me wrong, I commend each and every soldier that has fought in any war. It does take a certain amount of care for your country to join the armed forces to defend it, even though the reasoning is complete bullshit. They have my utmost respect, because they actually could stand up for our governments' retardation, and I just couldn't possibly do it. Not knowing full well that someone in office knows we are over there for the wrong reasons, yet we stay over there.

Instead, Americans will bicker over the price of gas, and the taxes we must pay, and all the other shit that they think they have no control in.

Anyways, sorry for the rant...

Which is the whole reason I posted this thread in the first place. +Rep.

Hotdog, where's your expert rebuttal? I'm waiting.

Willkillforfood 2008-08-04 10:54 AM

Is it 225 before or after court costs? If that's before then that blows balls. If not, court costs are always expensive.

Thanatos 2008-08-04 12:33 PM

$225 period. I'm not going to court to fight this. It is made very clear on the ticket that taking this to court will often result in more fines. Which is fucking retarded if you ask me.

HandOfHeaven 2008-08-04 12:41 PM

Your speeding ticket was probably ~$120 and the expired plates $105. I don't think they randomly add court fees, at least not in the midwest.

Thanatos 2008-08-04 01:56 PM

My speeding ticket was $150 and the expired plates were $75. And no there are no court fees.

WetWired 2008-08-04 03:32 PM

They're just trying to scare you. Often taking it to court will result in the lazy officer not showing and the case dropped.

Thanatos 2008-08-05 08:19 AM

Well what if he does show up? Am I supposed to plead not guilty? Then it's just his word vs. mine.

HandOfHeaven 2008-08-05 09:10 AM

Oh the hilarity of the American government just keeps going...Another way for countries to hate/make fun of us.

Thanatos 2008-08-05 10:26 AM

I was playing Halo 3 on XBL last night and this British guy was ripping Americans the whole game. He wasn't even playing really, just going off on all of us Americans. He kept calling me a muppet because I was making fun of British people, too. I was pissing him off, it was great. But he was like "There are so many people out in the world that would give up their own lives just to murder a couple of you muppets." I mean, that's somewhat true, but don't stereotype on a national scale like that.

WetWired 2008-08-05 11:15 AM

If he does show up, then you're probably screwed. I'm just saying that they're trying to scare you because they make more money that way. More cases over tickets=less tickets paid=less money. In fact, if everyone started taking their tickets to court they'd make a lot less because the officers would have to spend a large part of their time in court instead of on the road writing more tickets or let them all slide.

Lenny 2008-08-05 11:37 AM

Lol. He called you all "muppets". :p Any idea which part of the country he came from?

KagomJack 2008-08-05 12:08 PM

Liverpool. Blackpool.

Who knows your crazy country? :(

Lenny 2008-08-05 12:19 PM

Don't look at me - Geography has never been my strong point. I have a vague idea of where the major cities are, but that's it. s

It was hard understanding him because he was so pissed off, so I don't know.

How is a muppet derogatory in any way?

Lenny 2008-08-05 01:47 PM

It's usually used to describe people with no common sense, that do stupid things even when the correct way is obvious. I imagine that his view is that all Americans are thick.

If Obama wins the election, that might change (an intelligent man in charge of a country can do wonders), but you never know.

KagomJack 2008-08-05 08:17 PM

dis is amurica, we r smurt.

Willkillforfood 2008-08-06 12:33 AM

The smart and mature thing to do is stereotype. But we all do it. So oh well :(.
