WoW on the Wii

I think it could be done with high quality and efficently. Discuss
Perhaps another MMO.

Willkillforfood 2008-02-10 08:45 PM

There's way too many skills you have to use. You'd have to do it with a keyboard and mouse and it'd pretty much be like the pc :D.

WetWired 2008-02-10 09:13 PM

It'd take XBOX or PS3 for the graphics alone

Sovereign 2008-02-10 10:12 PM

Reminds me of starcraft for the n64.

Thanatos 2008-02-11 07:28 AM

That game sucked horribly.

D3V 2008-02-11 10:05 AM

x2, I'm still waiting on SC2, me and my buddies have been playing Old-skool SC lately, haha.

!King_Amazon! 2008-02-11 10:21 AM

WoW on the Wii is a bad idea. You would need a keyboard/mouse, which I think both the PS3 and the Xbox360 already have, plus they both have better graphics.

So no.

Raziel 2008-02-11 09:09 PM

Wii has USB keyboard support, King.

Kaneda 2008-02-12 08:03 PM

Plus the Wiimote is 10x more functional than a mouse. Have you seen Endless Ocean? Wii is HD compatible, I see no graphics issues really.

Ya, SC on 64 blew. Although it did get me into SC.

Goodlookinguy 2008-02-12 08:18 PM

The Wii has a keyboard (I have one), WoW has horrible graphics (I played it), and no I doubt it would ever be ported to a system console (I have all gaming consoles, basically).

*Discussion End*

Kaneda 2008-02-12 08:20 PM

Ok ya. How about a similar MMORPG?

Goodlookinguy 2008-02-12 08:26 PM

I could see porting a game that I can't think the name of. It has great looking graphics and could be used for profit. The game is free surprisingly enough, but is about 3GB large to download. But it would defiantly port it since you use the mouse to move anyways.

Kaneda 2008-02-12 08:33 PM

I'm sure it could be made possible on a modded Wii.

It would be hard to mess with that. But hey if you want to use a controller for the game there is a program called joy2pad or something like that. It allows me to play all my MMORPG's on my computer with an Xbox 360 like controller.

Atnas 2008-02-13 02:40 PM

I think I read somewhere that program was originally created to wiggle a guy's mouse so his PC wouldn't go into sleep mode while he was playing games.

Pretty cool how he took it to the level he did, I used to use it when my laptop's touchpad went out. I had the trigger buttons for back and forward and everything.

I think it's a definite possibility for MMOs to be ported, or even soley made for the wii. The question is, just how massive?

Goodlookinguy 2008-02-13 04:10 PM

I figured out the name of the game Granado Espada (The Grand Sword), but they called it Sword of the New World. It was created by Koreans, yay for South Korea! Or was it done by the North Koreans... o_O

My buddy Tim's stereo has bluetooth controls, and has it rigged up to respond to gesture commands from his Wii remote.

Willkillforfood 2008-02-14 04:12 AM

WOW should really try and get on the WII or 360. I doubt it'd do it with Sony who already has plenty of mmos.

Asamin 2008-02-14 01:55 PM

A game as complicated as wow would not work with a limited amout of controles. you would just die over and over due to lack of the ability to heal in time.

Just like sims for the xbox... you can't controll such a big world with so many limitations in controlls

Atnas 2008-02-14 03:49 PM

Well, there's always a keyboard. I don't think the question is controls, but rather game quality.

Goodlookinguy 2008-02-15 01:32 AM

We are repeating the same stuff talked about, up at the top.

Atnas 2008-02-15 03:13 PM

I know, I just didn't feel like asking my friend, "Can't you fucking read?"

Eh.

Goodlookinguy 2008-02-15 03:35 PM

Oh, alright, you didn't necessarily have to put it in those words, and it would have sounded just fine.

Atnas 2008-02-17 10:01 AM

:) It's Zelaron, things tend to come out as harsh as possible when they need not be.

---------------------------------------

I wonder if point and click games will make a comeback on the wii?

Raziel 2008-02-17 11:27 AM

Play Zack & Wiki, Atnas. Point and click brilliance to rival Monkey Island.

And no, they won't make a "comeback", because they won't sell for shit.

Atnas 2008-02-17 12:03 PM

I remember playing Monkey Island and liking it, I should check out Zack and Wiki someday.

I think I remember being impressed by the screenshots I saw a while ago, but I didn't know it was point and click. XD

Thanks

Kaneda 2008-03-12 11:05 PM

How about a Wii Toe Jam&Earl.

-Spector- 2008-03-13 01:59 PM

yay for Nintendo

Coffeedagger 2008-04-07 02:08 PM

I must say playing WoW with a wiimote is possible.

Alone playing WoW on the Wii is possible (OFFLINE)

Online WoW on the Wii unless done with out wifi, which kinda deafeats the purpose, would be immpossible imo. The quality would be god awful and the game would require a keyboard. It just would not work as the regular version right now or ever on that console.

Anyone agree or am I just spouting the same crap again?

Have you ever played WoW?

The amount of buttons needed for WoW is phenominal. I don't consider it a possibility for any console unless a mouse and keyboard ships with it.

And offline WoW? Is there such a thing? I think not.

Asamin 2008-04-07 03:59 PM

He plays wow. I know him and so does atnas.

Atnas 2008-04-07 05:51 PM

Yeah, Atnas was just being silly.

Coffeedagger 2008-04-08 02:00 PM

Yes I have played WoW, still do, and have for quite some time. I'm talking about a special Wii only offline version if it was to be made. Playing WoW on the Wii is utterly pointless and online impossible. Nothing else to it and a mouse is uneeded as long as you have a keyboard.

Asamin 2008-04-08 05:24 PM

I would like a computer offline version. I do know about making a privet server but that is illegal and I don't know how. If I did know though, I would have so much fun with that!

Willkillforfood 2008-04-08 07:37 PM

An offline version would kill the soul of the game, a community.

Absolutely right. The game isn't about the content, really. It's about teamwork and cooperation amond players.
